Title: Dash 0.11
Post by: ya1950 on February 26, 2004, 12:20:38 PM
In honor of the revival of TP I'm posting a skin I've been working on for a while. First some background. During the uncertainty about this project I started to look around for alternatives. I discovered Dashboard which I liked a lot and Journal Bar/Battery bar which I liked less. I decided that TP could create a plugin for Dashboard that would give the functionality Journal/Battery Bar and then some. I was looking for something that would take up as little space as possible, leaving room for Dashboard to do it's magic. Thus Dash_Jr. was born. This skin works well with Dashboard, PPX, and similar skinning programs that have agenda, tasks, and launch functions built in.

After it was certain that TP would live on past Feb. 29 I decided to expand  the original concept into a full blown skin with launcher, agenda, and task items - and so was born Dash_Sr.

FEATURES (Dash_Sr.)

- System information for power, memory, etc with toggles for different memory cards
- RSS feeds for 9 locations
- Weather information
- 5 Digital clocks that toggle with a list of time zones
- Launcher with two pages of 10 slots apiece
- Agenda and task section
- Launcher, agenda, and task sections can all be mimimized. Maximization is via the 3 icons on top right.
-Shortcuts on main screen open the clock app (clock icon), battery information (battery icon), Memory information (main memory bar), CF memory (CF/SD memory bar), Agenda (agenda icon), and Task (task icon)

INSTRUCTIONS
-Copy the zip file contents to the appropriate subdirectories in the Program Files/Today Plus/ directory
-Set up the today plus configuration utility with the weather information, longitude/latitude (for sun times), weather information
-In the configuration utility go to the shortcut tab and create two groups: 1. Main for the program shortcuts and 2. Shortcuts for the links on the main screen. In the Shortcut group place the shortcuts from the Program Files/Today Plus/Shortcuts directory in the following order:
         clock
         powerg
         Memory
         CFMemory
         Calendar
         Tasks
-There is one filter available for Tasks in the POOM filter section of the configuration utility. I use 360,[overdue][sort-duedate],  to show the overdue tasks in the tasks listing.

CREDITS:
- Thanks to rbg08. This skin started as his OSX skin and still retains a lot of his code in its current form.
- Thanks to arbitrajeu. My system area is based on his work
- Thanks to Fishboy for the original launcher section which this is based on and also for providing documentation that allows all of us to skin the program.
- Thanks to LightMan, Chefz, and rbg08 for the artwork.
- The Dashboard and Wisbar Advance skins are Juni's wonderful work. Highly recomended.
- And last but certainly not least, thanks to srs, wherever he may be, for this wonderful program.

Note - the first screen shot is Dash_Jr. running with Dashboard. The second is Dash_Sr.

Enjoy  :)

Ya1950, your skin looks great ! I did exactly the same:) I've bought dashboard while searching for alternatives for td. Now i've made a skin for dashboard using td+ and  journal bar.
