Post by: Blazingwolf on October 27, 2003, 09:16:45 PM
Here is a new skin I have made. It shows a month calendar, date, buttons and some owner info above the 0 region.
Other features:
Digital clocks from Lightman
Launcher section uses the tabbed gLauncher from Fishboy
9 RSS feed section with page counts from Lightman
Agenda
Washington Post icons

Nice job Blazingwolf.

Comments/Questions:
1)  I had to change the weather icon dir to get icons to show - there was a , after the folder name.

2)  Where can I get the Colors-3d images?  I have no buttons.

The theme is ChromePDA from Juni and can be found  Here. (http://koti.welho.com/kruohio/chromepda.html)

JS,
the Colors-3D buttons are from v.9.5. Glad you guys like the skin.

Could you (or someone) post the v9.5 Colors-3D folder for those of us who couldn't grab that version before it was taken down?

Thanks!

I think this should be the one you want.

Thanks for the files.

Does this Skin only work with v0.9.5?  I wasn't able to dl it before srs pulled it (using 0.9.3), and I don't seem to have any buttons even after copying the Colors-3D folder over to the images dir.

Here is a capture:

Ahh... you might have a problem as .png support was implemented in 0.9.5.

I could post up 0.9.5, but would prefer not to step on srs' toes, especially if a new release is imminent.

First, copy the desired font from your PC over to the PDA (I put them in the \windows directory.)

Second, go to the skin file that you are using, find the font "tahoma" and replace it with whichever font you copied/prefer. In this case, I was using the "chiller" font.

The good thing about this is that you can use different fonts for different portions of the plug-in.

You may have to experiment a little. In my case, not only did I change the font, but I also had to change the font sizes as well.

Just to be on the safe side, make a copy of the skin file first so if you do too much damage  :D , you can start over.

JS and others with button problems,
Give this a try. I'm not sure it will work. I'm not at home to try it.

You need to change these lines and some others.
options,imagedir,Images\Colors-3D   to options,imagedir,Images\Attractions-3D or other button folder

imagebutton,16,35,calendar.png,t,5,4,10,-1  to imagebutton,16,35,calendar.bmp,t,5,4,10,-1

imagebutton,72,35,weather.png,t,9,4,0,16  to imagebutton,72,35,weather.bmp,t,9,4,0,16

Do the same thing for all buttons found in the skin. Hopefully you should have buttons again.

Blazingwolf -

Thanks for the tip.

One other question.  How do I get the Button-style launcher?  I have nothing there, just the text.  I dl the glauncher tabbed buttons file and tried them in the IMAGE folder, made a folder called glauncher under IMAGES, etc., but can't get them to show.

Don't put them in a seperate folder. Leave them in the image folder with the other images. Other then that they should work. The files are .bmps but the skin addresses them as that. What version of todayplus are you using?
