Finally I've finished my own skin, which realizes my original requirement to replace all other plugins I have (I asked about that a couple of weeks ago here (http://www.dark-mojo.com/TodayPlus/viewtopic.php?t=433)).
The "Simple" skin is really simple - it doesn't have any buttons, scrollbars, moving and hiding regions, and other bells and whistles (even no weather and news sections), just shows all the required information packed into the limited Today screen space.
This skin replaces My|Calendar, tdClock, TodaysInfo, tAgenda, Task+, VBirthday, Uptime, tdLaunch - the plugins I used before. Now I use only TodayPlus, and have even more information and features in the same space!

That's simple too! :)
Just unzip the archive with pathnames and copy all the files and folders in TodayPlus folder on your PocketPC (backup your old config.txt before that!).
To use your own config.txt with my skin you need to modify the following:
1. Change skin parameter:
skin,Skins\Simple.txt
2. Add some Outlook filters and formats:
calendarfilter,calendarfilter_holiday,360,[Categories] = "Holiday" OR [Categories] = "Birthday"
calendarfilter,calendarfilter_noholiday,360,[Categories] <> "Holiday" AND [Categories] <> "Birthday"
taskfilter,taskfilter0,360,[overdue],
dateformat,nodate,0,0,0,
poomformat,blank,-1,13,13,
3. Replace two icons if you like mine:
icons,Holiday,Icons\Holiday_baloons.bmp
icons,Birthday,Icons\Holiday_cake.bmp
4. The shortcuts for a launcher section will probably require some changes. The skin just has all the shortcuts shown in one group, so you need to have shortcut,apps-1-1 ... shortcut,apps-1-28 defined in your config file.
PS. I'd like to thank srs for a great program, Blazingwolf and rbg08 for the ideas I got from their skins. Thank you guys!
Unfortunately there is a bug in TodayPlus, which causes showing incorrect info in the agenda when several outlook sections are used together (am I really the first person, who faced this? :)).
srs is going to fix it soon, but if you'll encounter such a problem with this skin until then, you can try to update the events and tasks manually by tapping on a hidden button at the right side of the tasks section (it's 10 pixels wide zone along the screen edge).

The problem with several outlook sections looks like fixed in 0.10.1.
So the skin is now working as designed.
Very good skin. It's great that you have the meters tucked away in a small area. There, but out of the way. Very nice.
I've made a combination of your simple skin and the calandar skin. Still have a couple of issues to resolve. Like moving icons to the bottom, expanding the agenda and making the weather/calandar closer together.

I am very new to TodayPlus. I downloaded your skin but for some reason the section on your screen shot that shows the holidays is missing. The reason I downloaded your skin is that I wanted to understand how to get icons to appear next to certain categories of events. I do have your icons in the icon file. Any ideas on what I might need to do?

Is that section just empty or it's completely missing (so the launcher goes right after the tasks section)?
Do you use TodayPlus version 0.10.1?
Do you actually have any upcoming event with "Holiday" category?
Did you change your config.txt as described above?
Did you try config.txt from my archive?
I figured out what I did. I hadn't noticed the category birthday was in lower case. That fixed the problem. Thanks!
I've updated my skin to v.0.10.2.2.
The actual change is very small - just calendar filter names were fixed to make them work correctly.
TodayPlus v.0.10.2 is supported.
