Title: Complete skin v0.10.1
Post by: rbg08 on November 19, 2003, 12:24:12 AM
Complete skin v0.10.1

With System Monitors being the latest craze, I felt it was time to create one myself. :D  Actually, I've been quite impressed with the work of Lordtwisted, LightMan, and arbitrajeu in this area.  I have borrowed elements from each of these (including images), plus added a little of my own ideas.  I replaced the Big Clock page with the new System Monitor.  It is accessed through the "memory" button adjacent to the Weather button.  The Timezone section is now accessed by tapping on the system clock to the left of today's date.  The System Monitor displays info on Battery (with an image that changes depending on the battery's state), both Program and Storage Memory, and up to 3 secondary Storage Memory areas.  You can rotate through defined secondary Storage Memory by tapping on that area.  The skin automatically detects which Storage Memory is in use.  Other changes worth noting:  Auto-scroll in RSS section, online/offline links removed on Yahoo feeds, & today's Forcast displayed first in the Weather section if TP data is old.

Features:
- Weather for 3 cities
- 9 News feeds including a Stocks page
- 2 Month Calendar with Agenda Advance function
- System Monitor for Battery, Memory, and Storage Memory
- QuickLaunch icons for 20 applications
- Launcher pages for 33 additional applications and 9 games
- World Timezones (both analog and digital)
- Agenda, Tasks, and Countdown displays
- Both main and Agenda sections can be collapsed

*Edit: this version is no longer available. Please download my latest version of Complete skin. :)

Complete skin2 v0.10.1

For those who prefer the QuickLaunch section permanently above the main section, I created Complete skin2.  Same features as Complete skin v0.10.1, including the new System Monitor section.

My Agenda section should show both appointments and tasks in the first view, tasks only in the second view, and countdown to events in the third view.

Quoteand is it possible to write something like:
<DATE>
<APPOINTMENT0>
<APPOINTMENT1>

Tasks
<TASK1>
<TASK2>

It should be possible.  Since formating the Agenda section is very detailed, I would recommend finding another skin that has an Agenda format similar to what you want, copying the code for its apptformat & tasksformat and paste it over my code.  It will require a little tweaking, but it should help you better understand how the code works so you can adjust it to your liking. :)

Do you have a main page? with date + 1 month calendar like OSX.

This skin does not have a Main page like OSX.  Today's date is always present, which removes part of the need for such a page.

It is possible.  Find the POOM formats in the slider skin, copy them, and paste it over mine in the Agenda section of Complete skin.  Then increase the maxheight and height of the skin, as well as the defregion height for region 1 (Agenda region).  Also, increase the addoffset and outlook heights for each page in region 2.  You should also change the changefont size before each outlook command to 11.  If your not sure how to change these numbers correctly, refer to the skin reference (http://dark-mojo.com/TodayPlus/viewtopic.php?p=3555#3555) posted in the sticky thread at the top of the General forum.

Yes it is.  You will need to change the following code from this:

region,0,500,1

To something like this:

region,12,0,1
defregion,12,0,0,240,54,1

As well as changing:

endregion,0,500

To:

endregion,12,0

Also, add the following code immediately before region,10,1,5:

jumpregion,10,1

You may want to move the whole System Monitor section of code to where you want it to appear in the skin (i.e.: after the QuickLaunch section).  Hope that helps. :)

I have been trying to update your complete skin to my need but I need help on the following:

1. I am having problem setting the calcspace on the POOM section which I updated from the slider.

2. I have increase the RSS section, but the scroll bar is not working for me.

3. I noticed that you do not have the Owner info on this skin. I have tried addding it but no luck.

I have attached the skin file.

Title: Missing Icons... New User
Post by: Rickm on November 24, 2003, 05:56:56 PM
RBGO8-

Hello from a new user, and thanks for the great skin.

I am missing the icons following the date which controls the on/off of the features. If I tap where they should be the function works, just no icon/button there.

I followed the installation istructions twice...

Please suggest some things I might try.

Thanks!

All of the button icons are located in a folder called "My Icons-3D", included in the ZIP file.  This folder should be located in the Images folder within the TodayPlus directory on your PPC.
