Title: [WIP] Intuition skin (former "Minimize")
Post by: LightMan on November 27, 2003, 09:01:39 AM
For those wondering what I've been up to, here's a status update :

Bit by bit, line by line, I've been able to find some time to improve this skin and now it's nearly finished (finally)

I have to tweak some graphics stuff (new digital clocks, new SD card, among some other minor things) and add some small funcionalities (add ipaq file store, add an *optional* 1 line system info area always visible), but most of the big changes are implemented, the last of which was adding a quick launch based upon fishboy's "Launcher with Popup Menu" (thanks to fishboy for that)
The RSS area suffered the biggest changes, apart from the obvious new system info and poom sections.

So here's the preview. Another week or so and it should be 100% done and released.

p.s. it's an animated gif (for those who have the "Play animations in web pages" setting turned off)

Thanks Yogiman ...  as usual, I make the skin according to my specific needs, so I'm glad to see that it fits other user's needs as well :)

The scrolling you see is the common and usual vertical scrolling through 3 pages of each rss feed, making 9 news available per feed.

Hi Lightman:
I have always admire your work from your wisbar contributions before TP. Now, you have gone beyond where most of could go on this program. I want to thank you for continuing on this endeavour that you started.

I just want to add, if you could have an option for this skin to increase the RSS  to five lines instead on three. I love RSS. I am information nut.

Thanks for coming back to us.

Lightman,

By far one of the best skins I have ever seen!  I really love it.  I might have to actually stop tweaking mine and just switch to yours!  :D

Thanks Jim :)

I'm still undecided as to have only 1 poom section with filters, or have the 2 seperate sections that allow agenda and tasks to be displayed at the same time ... maybe I'll do both to settle it :D

I see an advantage to having a separate POOM section for a calender and task.  In the past I have just used a calender event for tasks.  For example on the first of every month I have to give my dog her medicine.  I created a calender event to remind me of it.  A shot, I knew I need to something today. :)

Yes, one of my reasons for starting it like that ... also, you can keep overdue tasks visible, while using the 0 option of the outlook command (agenda + tasks together) a task only appears in the day when its due.

eheheh too much navigating in TP forum :D

Hi Lightman:
I think you should do both and that will make it easier people not askng you to do what you could have done.

Thanks.

I'm really sorry I haven't been able to find the time to finish it.
I'm still swamped with work :(

I've managed to add a couple of little things like display the next appointment/task when each area is minimized, among some other small things.

No promises, bear with me, not much I can do right now.

Wonderful skin, Lightman.
It's very good to see a skin in Portuguese, better when it's a master job as yours.
Let me ask you two questions while you are finalizing it:
Would it be possible to see as many city weather on the weather section, or just two as on your original "Minimize"?
Could you add a Backlight and reset section to your skin?
Keep the great work.
