Why doesn't my weather refresh ??

Hi there !

I have been away from Today+ for some time now, but i found out that i can't live without it

Now after i installed it again, the weather won't refresh. It gets the weather down fine first time, but then nothing happens.

Any ideas ??

 What skin are you using?  Normally you have to do it manually.  For example, tap on "Update" in Hammerskin will update the weather information..

I use the good old lm attraction skin.

I tried the Hammer skin, but i could not figure out, how to modify it so i can have other things on my today.

I use PI today for showing PIM info from Pocket Informant and then i have Pocket Zenphone profiles (i use a QTEK 2020).

I know you can update the weather in LM's HandPlus_Basic.011 by taping the date.  Here is the code I found in the skin.

button,45,0,180,12,0,7,1-highlight,0      // REFRESH FROM INTERNET IF DATES TAPPED

If you are using his other ones, you can open the skin file.  I believe LM would leave the comment in it.  Or you can post a screenshot or upload the skin, someone (at least me) will try to find out how to update the weather.

The best souloution was if i could make the Hammerskin working with the Pocket Zenphone plugin on the main screen ( the PI-today i can live without)  - do you have any ideas ??

 It is possible.  What is the hight you need for the plug-in?  There is a reduced vesion of Hammerskin, check http://www.jhollin1138.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1587.

If the space is not enough, then you probably need to remove some regions from Hammerskin to get more space.  What device you are using?  I will look the skin to see I can figure out how to update the weather.

Ha ha - amazing, the reduced skin is exactly with the plugin i use on the screenshots - only i have 1 mm to little space - the scollbar appears with 1 mm scroll.

In that case, try to see you can reduce the height in the skin.  It should be on top of the skin.

It doesn't help - it cuts off the shortcut icons in the bottom of the skin, but it still has the scrollbar. I tried to change it a lot to 220 in both parameters, and the shortcut icons almost dissapeared, but the scrollbar was still there.

Did you unload and reload the TP after you change the height in TP?  Go to Today Plug-in page and tap OK, TP will reload.  Sometimes, you need to do that in order to see the effect.

Yes i did. I found out, that i needed to change the parameter at the end of the skin file as well.
