Questions and answer to the Skin(configuration problems etc)

Hello everyone,

Let me start off by saying that this is an excellent site and skin.

I have installed TodayPlus and it works well. I installed it to the Built-in storage on my PPC and left the TodayPlus and the dll in the TodayPlus directory in the main memory. The original slider skin and the weather only skin work fine. But, I can not get the Hammerskin to load up at all. The original slider skin loads up fine. I have set the base path to "\Built-in Storage\TodayPlusData".

I tried to modify the skin to point to the right directory ( Built-in Storage\TodayPlusData\Weather Icons\Stardock_VGA ) but it does not work. If I install the files to the main memory, the skin loads up fine. What am I doing wrong?

I think you should undo the changes in the Skin. When you change the Base Path, have you tryed an Softreset?

Wichtel was right.  Once you change the base pathway, you need exit (not minimize) the TodayPlus and configure completely, then reload TP again.

Ihave been used Hammerskin from storage card.

Hi There,

I notice in Hammerskin 1.05.6 QVGA Eng\TodayPlus\Images there are 2 Hammerskin folders (Hammerskin  and Hammerskin1). The files inside these folders are very similar. So which one is necessary?

You can go to system section and you will see "change theme" button at the left-bottom.  Tap it , you can switch between "Hammerskin" and "Hammerskin1" image on the skin.  They are different "color"..

THanks once again UK-skinner.  I didnt notice that.  

THe original suits me  well for now. It just happened that my wallpaper is a sunset. Orange is just right.

I have reset the device. I still can get it to run from the Built-in storage. i copied the files from the built-in storage to the main memory, change the base path and the program runs. I change the base path to to the built-in storage and the program does not run. I can run the slider skin and the weather only skin without a problem. But i can't run the uniskin or the Hammerskin. Any other thoughts? Its quite strange. I tried for days to figure this out but no luck.

Can you give me the exactly base path?  And are you running other language OS?  What device you are using?  What folders did you have in the base folder?

I just found something interesting. If I copy the TodayPlusData folder to the SD card and set the base path to it on the SD card, I can run the program. It appears that I just can't run it from the Buit-in Storage.

Here is my device info

PPC WM2003se, Dell Axim x50v, I am not using ozVGA. English ROM

The base path is set to: Built-in Storage\TodayPlusData

Under the base path there are 7 folders
1) Apps-6 Eng
2) Buffer
3) Icons
4) Images
     a) Colors-3D
     b) Hammerskin_VGA
     c) Hammerskin_VGA1
     d) Radar_VGA
     e) Radar_VGA1

I think the Build in Storage on your Device ist sloooow for TD+. I heared from an other member on PPC 'Welt Community, he had the same Problem. The only way for you is to run TD+ from SD Card.

I just happen to find out that Deviant_QVGA.zip missed out 37.png for weather. Would appreciate if someone can update Deviant_QVGA.zip please.

This Icon was missing in VGA and QVGA, but no problem it show´s only bad weather
