dhpss,

Yes, gif will work.  In your skin file, change your skin ref. to

options,weathericondir,Weather Icons\yahoo-weather,gif[/code]

Could we use animated gif's in the next versions?
That should be great, animated weather images etc.

I was under the impression that animated gifs were not supported by PPC2002/WM2003, rather than it being something that srs can add to TodayPlus.

Pocket IE does not support animated .gif but the OS itself does. There are plenty of other applications for Pocket PCs that will show them.

Wow, Great find! I like those animated gif. Hopefully TD+ will support it!  :D

I have seen people make the icons transparent (with a pink background). Could you let me know how to do it (with freeware if possible).

Thx!

I have got the forecasttext file attached.  Is it the content wrongly defined?

Hi

I followed the advice earlier in this thread about changing the colour from 255_0_255 to color,transparent,153_153_204 but it made the backgrounds go pink. Should the transparent colour be something else?

Martin
Common sense is not common

It doesn't sound like the 153_153_204 is the exact RGB color of your icon background.

In order for 153_153_204 to be transparent, it needs to listed in your skin file and be the exact RGB color of the pink in your icons.  Anti-aliased images are not good to use, since the blend of the colors around the border of the images doesn't let you completely hide the pink.  It needs to be a hard stop between the icon's edge and the transparent color.

Hi,

I've edited the BBC icons to have the following:

1. Magenta background for easier transparancy.
2. Both white and black clouds depending on weather severity.
3. Modified windy modifier (lines to right of cloud).
4. Added 45,46,47.
5. Modifed number of water droplets/rays to give more variation.

It works best on a mid blue background.

Hope you like them.

I personally love these, but can we use them?
I mean, I can't track the source so I have been taking screenshots the last few days...

Also, do we have a list of a description what each of the 44 images is?
If more people like it I could update this icon pack once in a while :)

Very nice.

If you can collect enough different ones, it should be relatively easy to create a skin around them.

So far I got:

- clear day
- 10% clouds over day
- 20% clouds over day
- 30% clouds over day
- 40% clouds over day
- 50% clouds over day
- 60% clouds over day
- 70% clouds over day
- 80% clouds over day
- 100% clouds over day (sun not visible)
- rain
- little rain
- rain + snow
- fog
- clear night
- 10% clouds over night
- 30% clouds over night
- 40% clouds over night
- 60% clouds over night
- 80% clouds over night
- 90% clouds over night
- 100% clouds over night (moon not visible)
- Weather Station out of order ( )

They're somewhat accurate and you always know how much clouds there are :D
