Title: Problem with weather
Post by: ecard on December 26, 2003, 07:15:20 PM
I think I found a bug!!!

I tried with 2 diffent skins and I get the same result, if you look at my screen, you will find the weather for Today (Friday) and also the forcast for Friday.  They don't match!!  Then I went to weather.com and I think the weather is from Friday next week!!!

I tried cleaning the buffer, and it did not helped.

Can anyone help me with this one!!  Thanks

The forcast is the weather at the time of update and the other is the forcasted weather.

Hi ecard

You said that the forecast on your TodayPlus screen is different from the forecast at weather.com. This isn't a bug in TP, it's a problem with the weather forecast at MSNBC.com. I posted about this a month ago....see the link

http://www.dark-mojo.com/todayplus/viewtopic.php?t=847&highlight=

You'll see that (i) the weather in TodayPlus is taken from the "weather front page" at MSNBC (ii) MSNBC states that it gets the forecasts from weather.com, and claims that it updates hourly but (iii) the MSNBC forecast does not update hourly, and it is different from the forecast (for the same ZIP code) at weather.com.

In my experience, the forecast at weather.com is more accurate than the forecast at MSNBC.com......but TP uses the MSNBC data, and (so far) there's no way to change it.....

Hope this helps explain the problem (even if it doesn't solve it).

Scotty
