As I newbie I thought I would give v 0110 a try. When I first saw the config.exe file I was very reluctant to continue, but after doing some exploring and general input owner, lat & long. etc. I felt pretty good and though hey I can do this. Was able to make my shortcut tabs and load the files to work in the launcher,however.........when trying to get the brighteness to work, i created a 5th shortcut "links" and added the command line. When I reloaded TP and went to my Today Page it was blank. Went to the config.exe and was not able to select any of the 5 skins I had loaded. the (DLL) space was blank and could not get anything in the box. Tapped "clearbuffer" and got an error msg."A managed DirectoryNotFouind Exception occcurred at Application::Run+0xf Aplication::Rukn+0xf Form1::Main+0xa OK to terminate"
When I clicked on close the config.exe file was then closed.
I have have tried uninstalling and reinstalling even deleted the TP folder from the registry and then did a reinstall and still have the same problem. I am missing a fill somewhere as everything I had entered into the working config.exe file is still there however I can still not get it to come up on my Today Page and TP is checked in the setting menu.
Thanks for any help, I hope this can be correct as I think I like the exe config better than the txt config. For me, if I dont destroy it, it will be easiier to get the right info into the config file
You need to set the base path. If you are using the default location set your base path to Program Files/TodayPlus. You should now be able to select a skin again.

Thanks for the reply, and the information on correcting my problem.
Next time I destroy the file I won't have to be a nervous nellie by being in places, registry, and doing, deleting folders, things that I have no business doing. But I got it to work again. :shock:
