Hi All ---
I am a new user to TodayPlus and just downloaded the most recent version. It seems like a great program however, I am having a difficult time getting it to work properly. Here are the issues:
1) Weather Data ---- Does not show any forecast images...simply blank except for the words "Now". The sunrise and sunset data are incorrect as well displaying - 04:08 & 02:59 rspectively
2) TodayPlus Program --- If I click on the TP icon in the programs folder it just brings up a blank white screen.
3) There is no skin listed under "Select Skin" (DLL)
Trying to resolve the issue myself, I uninstalled it and then re-installed it and seems to have made it worse. as now the program won't show on my Today Screen.
PLEASE HELP!

In the config app you need to set the base path. If you left everything in the default areas then you will need to click on: Base path/Program Files/todayPlus. This should allow you to pick a skin.
The TP exe should show the skin once you set the base path.
As for the weather make sure you refresh once you fix the base path. make sure that you have set up the Lat and Long correctly for your area. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply. I was able to get the program back up and running based upon your suggestions. The current skin is slider.txt and I don't have an option in the drop down beneath this one (Select Skin (exe)) - Is this correct?
Also, I am still having issues with the weather. I did check the long and lat and they are correct. When you say refresh, do you mean via ActiveSync?
Finally, if I click on the TodayPlus Program file, I am presented with many small icons, some clickable. What exactly is the purpose of these?

Your long/lat will help for calculations based on location (sunrise, sunset, etc.). For weather, you need to go to the Weather/RSS tab in the config.exe application and enter the zip code of the city you are looking to add. This returns the city data, which you then select and add to your list of weather cities.

1. You will only show the slider skin until you put more skins in the skin file. If you find a skin you like just place the skin file in the skins folder. Make sure you also place the other files where they need to go. You shold now see more then 1 skin file to choose from.
2. Follow dp1don's instructions. Yes, refreshes are usually done with activesync unless you are conected wirelessly.
3. You shouldn't really need to run the TodayPlus.exe. It should all show up on your today screen as long you have it selected. All buttons should work with the plugin loaded.

Thanks for the replies. I was able to load a new skin --- that was never really the issue. The calendar info / agenda / countdown, etc takes forever to show up.... it constantly says updating. Also, there is a large scroll bar down the right hand side that is blocking the small icons. I would like to know how to get rid of that as it is annoying.

Make sure the skin is for version 11. There were POOM changes in this version that make the older skins work very slow.
