This might be a really stupid question.... (but this is my first attempt at TodayPlus and the PPC area !)
I have installed TP and have dowloaded some skins, but I can't seem to install them properly.
Could someone explain ( in very basic terms !) How I go about doing this, any help would be greatly appreicated.

Welcome :wink:
First you need to download the program, you can find that in this Forum --> Changelog --> and here you can choose several versions.
Download it, unzip it. Then you have to copy that file to your ppc, put it in some kind of directory. Then with your ppc, find the file (using File Explorer or something like that) en you must see the Todayplus.arm CAB file. Tap on it once, and it will install itself.
Then (with File Explorer) go to Program Files/Todayplus. Push the config.exe file. Now you can personalize Todayplus.
Skins you've download, put those skins in the Program Files/Todayplus/Skins directory.
In the config file, you can select the skin you want to use.
The config.exe only works on version 0.11!

I have now installed TP (so far so good !)
Just to verify, when you refer to the config.exe, do you mean the customisable TP area with the "General", "Date"l tab etc.
If this is the case when I have placed the skin into the the "skins" folder should the skin show up in "Select Skins (DLL)" list, because I seem to only the default "slider" skin is the only choice I seem to get.
That said will some skins only work with certain versions ?

Yep, the config.exe file, it's the small program that is customizable with the several tabs.
The skins are made for a certain version. So a skin for version 9.8 is not compatible with version 11.0 etc.
I don't know what version you are using right now?
I have installed version 11.0, so I'm thinking that the skins i've been trying to install would be for different versions. I will download some skins for this version and give that a try. :D
Also, how would I go about learning to create my on skins, I mean I have a basic understanding of the process but where would I learn basic coding for the skins.

I'm not the right person to give you some tips how to make your own skin, because I'm not a good skinner myself :D :oops:
There are several good skinners around on this forum, like Rbg08, Lordtwisted, srs (maker of the program), ya1950, Blazingwolf, Lightman and several others. For each version they make several skins (See the New Skins thread) Once you have found a skin you like, but you want to tweak it a little bit, don't hesitate to ask it! That's where forums are for.
So, there aren't stupid questions :D
