Title: I am bran-spankin' new to this
Post by: Cretin26 on January 05, 2004, 02:15:17 PM
So I am an intermediate level tech-geek. There's more that I know about computers than the average joe, but I'm not going to be hacking any mainframes anytime soon (or even the background dll files of my own desktop for that matter). So here's the deal, I've just found this forum and been digging around for the advice I'm looking for but have only found some simple fixes for a problem that is close to mine but not exactly what I am experiencing. The problem goes like this:

I'm trying to install todayplus for the first time on my ipaq 3765 running MS PPC 3.0. I have opened the zip file off of this site to my desktop only to find a number of files that aren't recognized as 'real' files by my machine (i.e. the file extensions are read as numbered extensions. No .exe, .dll, or .anything?) I don't get it and have no idea what to do with the information I see in the zip file.

Can anyone set me straight here? Thanks a million.

Signed,
Techno noob

New information discovered:
Upon trying to open the config file in winzip I encountered the following message...

Extracting to "C:\DOCUME~1\langlais\LOCALS~1\Temp\"
Use Path: no   Overlay Files: yes
File is not a CAB file

Any ideas?

Copy the CAB file to your PPC and run it from there.
