Title: How does the Weather searc in CONFIG.EXE work?
Post by: marvi1 on January 06, 2004, 03:50:43 PM
I don't know whether (!) I put in the city name, or the code I used to type in the CONFIG.TXT file.  Can anyone tell me how this works?  I'm trying to add TORONTO (CAXX0405) to my list.

You can try the name, it works most of the time. A few places needed the code.  You need to be in cradle connected to the internet when you hit search.
1.Add New

2.put in the city in the top bar.

3. when the list or lists of cities highlite the one you want then

4. Put the name of the city in the bottom box. Remember what ever you put here will be on top of the first weather box, so make it short. EX: LA not Los Angeles.

I only get an error box "Exception: System.Net.WebException:Could not find resource assembly".  Obviously some kind of .Net error, but I have the SP2 update installed.  Any suggestions?

That could only mean that you weren't connected to the internet when it did the search. Or maybe it didn't reconize the city code, or try another city and see if that works. Just to track down what is wrong.
