Title: After 2 weeks, I give! I need weather & RSS help!!!
Post by: dbr on January 06, 2004, 07:17:01 PM
:? I thought I could figure it out myself!?!?!

I think that this is a fantastic program with fantastic support and many great features if you can just get them all working...however, my weather and RSS feeds don't load.  No weather icons or data.  Feeds came thru once but are gone again.  The city and rss files are all 1K and empty.

I have an HP5555 iPAQ,
I am using V 0.11.0,
I'm trying Slider, LTwisted and OSX Complete,
I've read everything I can find that seems related,
I have my cache pages set to 1,
I re-installed TP and .NET,
I pulled some hair out,
I've changed base paths (pointing to TP folder is correct?!?!),
I've removed and re-added weather & RSS,
I'm at home (no proxy here),
and have tried more things that I can't remember!!!

I have under the TodayPlus folder -
Buffer,
Icons,
Images \ Colors-3D and OSX,
Skins,
and Weather Icons \ LTweatheric and Weather.com.

Is anything missing or out of place?   :?

Where all 3 skins have the same problem, I'm thinking something out of place or a config.exe issue.  I haven't seen any instructions for config.exe so I just did what made sense to me (and tried some things that didn't)!!!

Other than that, life is grand!!!  Remember kids, "Coding is fun!?!?!?!"

Also when I change my storage card paths and go back and look at the base path, it appears to be set where I was last with the storage card or File Store.  (Doesn't seem right!)

You're a great and helpful bunch...so work your magic!

Thanks in advance  :D and sorry about the book,

QuoteFeeds came thru once but are gone again.

Well, last night the rss feeds appeared...I must have done something but I'm not sure what.  They sync'd in about 7:00pm and I had cradled my 5555 several times earlier in the evening.

Thanks Dave!

No problem!
