Title: Reseting battery uptime and remaining time
Post by: ya1950 on January 11, 2004, 05:28:51 AM
After setting my system clock ahead (trying to test the moon phases but that's another story) I ran into problems with the battery uptime and remaining time on my Ipaq. (At one point the uptime was in the 1000's and the remaining time was always 0  :) )

After a lot of experimentation I finally uninstalled today+, deleted the registry keys labled 'battery' and 'uptime', and then reinstalled. Everything is working fine again. I was just wondering if there is an easier way to do this?

IMHA : clear buffer (in config.exe)

That doesn't do it. The buffer holds information for the weather and the rss feeds. As I discovered by trial and error, the battery information seems to be saved in the registry and therefore survives clearing the buffer and even an uninstall and reinstall unless the keys containing the information are specifically deleted. Actually this makes sense. Otherwise the battery information would be cleared each time the buffer was cleared and I don't think srs would do that to us  :D

At least this is how it seems to me. I'm more than glad to be proven wrong  :)

ya1950,

You are corect. I have seen the uptime do that once and i restarted today plus and it worked fine. and the est time  hasn't worked right in version 0.11.0 but it did in 0.10.0. so it might be a bug in todayplus.
