Title: Trouble installing TodayPlus
Post by: tudy on January 16, 2004, 04:43:03 PM
I have an iPAQ 3955.  Downloaded and unzipped file to desktop.  Does not appear to have an .exe file for me to install on my PPC.  What am I doing wrong?  Thank you!

When you unzipped the file, you get a .cab-file ! Copy that one to your
ppc and execute it with tapping on it. It will install itself.

You take the file you downloaded (cab file) and use ActiveSync and move it to your Pocket PC then use file explorer and go to that file and click on it and it will self install. You don't unzip the file on your PC.

Thanks for your help!  I did have to unzip on my PC then copy file to PPC and open.  Maybe I am not understanding this program- is it for programmers to utilize and customize?  When I went to programs and opened, it just opened a blank white screen with "TodayPlus" next to the start flag.  I guess this is meant to add modules to?  I am just a gadget geek, not a tech geek.

After you open on Pocket PC use file explorer and go to Program Files and then TodayPlus, then you will see a file called config. Click on that and you can start entering information. There is a help file on the forum.
