Title: Weather Configuration

I have installed the Hammer skin and all required images. Not everything looks OK on my PPC except weather. I can set up the city thru config.exe. But there is no information shown on screen.

Does this sign means no weather data available?


Or there is something wrong connection with weather website?

Anyone can help?

Here is a thing you can check first.

Go to the /TodayPlus/Buffer folder in your PPC to see you have city1.txt, city2.txt (depend how many cities you set up).  If you don't see these files, tap the "Last Updated" in the weather section, then the information should be updated.

As uk_skinner said look in buffer, and see if any of the file sizes alongside the city 1, city 2 etc don't have 0kb along side. That means that the there is either no information or that the download timed out. Don't worry that happens sometimes.

I do not have a buffer folder under Today Plus after installation. Should I create one?

Buffer folder is necessary.  I don't know why you did not get one.  You probably want to re-install again.

I reinstall the application and there is one folder called "Buffer" in Today Plus folder. It looks that I got some data but there is no any icon shown for weather. Is it because that I do not have icon or the weather information is not right?

Do you have Weather Icons in your TodayPlus folder?  In the Weather icons folder, make sure you have folders.  If you use Hammerskin, the default weather folders are Accu_new or Stardock.

If I do not see buffer folder in TP folder after instalation do I have to reinsall or can I just create one? If I create one what should be in it? Thank You

You must create a empty Folder named "Buffer", that's all.
