Just loaded up TP (.11) on my new X50v, only to find that it doesn't seem to have the same transparency as the ver. on my 2215. Any fix for this? Or is this just one of those things that happens with VGA?

Can you be more specific? I have hx4700 and no problem on my device. Please post a screenshot and let us know which skin you are using.
I'm using an older skin (CalendarPlus). When loaded, the background doesn't appear behind where TP+ is. Just solid color. I'll try to get a screenshot posted soon.

I never used that skin. But you can try other skin even the default skin in TP to see you have the same problem..
I found the problem. Since the skin was designed for non-VGA, it is only grabbing the non-VGA section of the .tsk file and using that as the background behind TP+. So the next task is to attempt to install a new VGA skin (which I haven't had to do in a _LONG_ time).

There are two VGA skins here, Hammerskin and 2B-VGA. We also got serval set of weather icons are for VGA. Trust me, they are amazing.. Give them a try and modeify to your need.
I loaded up the 2B - only to realize that I need to be running true VGA for it to work. Sigh. So many new bits to figure out....
I pulled down ozVGA and ran 2B again, worked great.
I installed ver .11 per the instructions and I only get part of the text on the screen, always with a white background. I have tried the hires mod for the exe file and it just makes the today screen 1/4 of the screen size, but still with a white background. I have tried the two vga geezer and hammerskin with no avail, other than driving me nuts trying to get it to work.
Any Suggestions

Hi Clems,
Welcome to the TP Forum !! :D We have many good and knowledgable people here, and one way or another, we'll get you up and working !!
First, it sounds like you may have some of your TP file folders misplaced.. It sounds like your not getting any icons.. Check the instructions, and your setup, and confirm that all is in the correct places..
Also, post some screenshots of what your seeing !!
Lets start with this, and we can go from there !! :!:
Attached (I hope) is a pda screen capture of the white background of the skin 2B VGA-1.00.txt.
Ok, I see that you do have icons... Do you have any other programs or plugins running ?? If so, try shutting down all but TP.. Uncheck any other plugins in your \settings\today\items, and see if that makes a difference !!
Also post some screenshots of your config file setup if you can !!

You run the TP.exe. This is wrong.
You must run TD+ as Todayplugin. Go to your settings > Privat > Today and and make sure that Todayplus is checked.
Thanks for pointing that out, the today plus box was checked and it didn't work, so I ran tp.exe. I re-installed the todayplus today, and now it works with the background behind it.
thanks for your help, now I just need to find a way to make it bigger (take up more of the screen) so my aging eyes can read it.

Great to hear it work out for you. If you are talking about 2B2 skin, then that is the way supposedly to be for this skin.
