Sorry Wichtel... I don't get by that often... but thanks for the early Christmas Gift... I am still using the original Hammerskin you posted... with a few small mods... but I am very happy with it. Well other than the fact that if can be slow... but I have always found TP to react like that on my device... so I do not blame the skin.
You do great work... your original Hammerskin was really a breath of inspiration... Occasionally someone does something that opens a window... and the bar gets moved several notches... Hammerskin is one of these instances...
Not to belittle the work of others... there have been some exceptional contributers... but Hammerskin is truly a masterpiece.

I have limited the Scroll up in the agenda and task region. This concerns the Scroll if within the single day.
I have made the same in the RSS text. If is the RSS text right at the top, the button can be pressed but nothing more happens.
I have installed an resetfunktion at the RSS Headliness in the lower area.
Example:
I have selected the third line at the first Chanell and has gone to the right with to the second Chanell. Then is in the text area the third heading of the second Chanells been shown. Now when you select the third line of the first Chanell and then go to the next Chanell the first Heading of the second chanell will be shown.
I hope I could represent it correctly with my bad English. :oops:

In my Hammerskin US mod, I decided to use "Week 1", etc. as it seemed too complicated to do it the other way.

Are you sure you added into the region 2? It worked on my device? If you could, please upload the skin here. Or later I will mkae one from the 1.05.6 for you.
Edit: Ok, I just added that code in Hammerskin1.05.6QVGA and tested on my device. If you tap the "time" the clock.exe will be excuated.

I have been messing around with the code in the text file to change somethings around but I am new to this so everything is pretty confusing but i am catching onto things and learning some stuff which is exciting, hope to make my own skin someday :)
Two things that i can't figure out how to do. I want to make my agenda space bigger. I took off the news ticker which i really like but i just don't have room for it if i want a bigger agenda. I want it to go all the way down to where my shortcuts start. However, I have modified the shortcuts so I now have two rounds(more on this later). The line above the shortcuts is nowimage,2,226,dotted_line.png,tr
The second thing i want to do is if possible have the top row of shortcuts i made be like 3 tabs where I can change the bottom set of shortcuts when i select a different tab. I wasn't quite sure, hell who am i kidding, I have no frickin clue how to,lol. I tried looking over the code from other parts of the skin seeing if it would show me how but I just get confused. So I ended up making a second line of icons which i like but with the tabs I can get even more in there :) I can make the graphics for it but the coding is what i don't know how to do.

I think this is no Problem. You can move the Shortcuts from Mainpage to Region 6 (formerly Newsticker). In Region 6 create 3 Regoins (Region 4,3 - 4,4 - 4,5) for your Shortcuts with tabs. Link this regions with Button commands (Tab) and look how it works

Thankz for the link guys, helped out alot. The only thing confusing is the %var references in the code now for the shortcuts.
I got the tabs now on the today page with text and highlighting when i tap on one of them but I can't seem to get the shortcut icons to show up.
I am using the handyplus skin(which i love as well) to give me a guideline as to what needs to be in the code and have changed the tab code accordingly to meet my needs but I just get confused on what i need to change to get the darn icons to come up.

To jump to the shortcut area, you need two things trigger by imagebutton/button codes, 1) jump to region,6,1 (for example); 2) assign var16. These need to be done by two codes.
From your code, you only try to change var16 via imagebuton, and something does not look right here.
Yours:

The "width, height" is the "size" of your tab. They should be the 1/2 width and hight of your pngs you used in your imagebutton.
As you can see, every time you tap on the "defined" area, you in fact trigger two events, jump to region,6,n and change var16.
When i changed...

it made the tabs not highlight orange and stay orange once selected. If i select the tab that is already highlighted then the tabs lock up and once TP refreshes like 10 seconds later the tabs disappear all together until i hit the main page button again.

No, an imagebutton is always double width, because the first half of the
pic is showing normally, the second half is shown, when button is pressed.
The height of the picture always stay equal. So if your pic is 36x16, the
button has to be 18,16.

Looks like your shortcuts are only region,6,3 and region,6,4. How many tabs you wish to have?
"button,152,229,18,14,6,4,1" means when you tap an area (which is a box start at 152,229 end at (152+18),(229+14)) will jump to region,6,1. If you have 3 tabs the you should have 3 buttons to allow you jump to any of them.

Update of the regions is defined by the region-command.
For the Main-section look for:
region,2,0,20
The 20 means region 2 is updated every 20 seconds, so you can change
it to what you like.

1) There has been reported that some RSS site from Taiwan can not be displayed within TP. At this moment, no solid solution yet. I do suggest you try any feed from http://news.yahoo.com/rss. If it display ok, then probably something is not compatible with TP and your rss site.
2) Ok, broesel just answer that question.
Take a look at your buffer-folder, are there files like rss1.txt, rss2.txt ... .. ?
If not, there is a problem with downloading the feeds.

welcome aboard. It's appears you're looking to do a few of the mods I've done, so let me see if I can step you through it.
You'll have to search for and comment out the following code: //=======================================
// Heading for News (RSS) Ticker

As well as everything after the header titled:REGION 6 NEWS TICKER MAINPAGE REGION 4,3-4,6
This is a pretty long section. First start by just commenting out the sections above (i.e. putting a "//" in front of each line will do that). Once you verify you haven't commented out to much or too little you can go back and delete it to save on size of file.
To extend the agenda, here are the settings I changed:Changes are in red:
region,5,0,-1
defregion,5,0,126,209,125,1
And also changed:
outlook,4,126,203,125,0,0,228,,,5
button,4,126,12,64,-1,24,nohighlight,5
changefont,tahoma,12
This will remove the News Ticker header as well as the News feeds and extend your agenda down to just above the shortcut bar.

Good catch. I forgot, I had shifted everything up, so 125 worked for me, but yes, 110 is what I had it at.

The problem isn't either, it is TodayPlus. TodayPlus doesn't know how to handle XML stuff (all the stuff you are seeing in "< >"). Unfortunately, there is no way to work around it unless the feed itself is changed.
Have a look at this post (http://forums.jhollin1138.com/viewtopic.php?p=11421#11421) for additional information and how I solved the problem for the forum's RSS feed.

You are right, it shouldn't be hard to do at all.
If you where using PHP, first you should replace all the "<br />" with "\n".
$rss_feed_string = str_replace("<br />", "\n", $rss_feed_string);With the all the "<br />" now set to "returns", you just need to strip the rest of the HTML strings.
$rss_feed_string = strip_tags($rss_feed_string)Hopefully that gets you going in the right direction.

I would like to thanks everybody who had a hand in creating this skin. This is exactly what I was looking for through several diffrent companies products and here it is in one nice neat kick butt package. You guys rock!!! :D
So do any rss feeds work at all? I am trying the hammer skin but the first page is showing only weather. no agenda or news. I have downloaded the complete package from the hammer topic on the boards. Doesn't seem to work.
If I switch to calendar and tasks I can see those pages just not on the first page. Zip nothin.
EDIT: RSS feeds still don't work and I have looked through the posts to find out how to get tp to see them. any help is still appreciated. I see talk of creating a exe to fix them but the only exe i have found is a yahoo cleanup which I installed and works, but doesn't help RSS appear.
I discovered there was some sort of bug...probably because tp is so old that selecting PI as my PIM causes the Agenda to go blank so I deselected it and now everything is working. I have everything set up and running except the RSS so hoping someone will chime in to help. :D

I've had RSS work on using the BBC very recently, however as I don't use RSS I'm no expert so can't guess what your issue is.
OK, I finally got something to work. I was trying Lakeridge software's feed but it doesn't work w\TP. Oh well.

I am using the PPC-WELT skin. A variation on the Hammerskin.
