Title: TP feezes at startup

My today plus freezes at start up. The display indictes that the agenda is updating but it never gets there.

The PDA is locked up after this and I have to do a soft reset. If I go the the setup fast enough I can remove TP from the check box list then do a soft reset and the PDA will work fine.

Does anyone have an idea what to do to resolve this? I don't want to reinstall unless I have to.

A bit more information - I have cleared the buffer with no help.

I gave up and reinstalled. It works now. I just wish there was an easy way to get the skin configured back to where it was prior to the reinstall.

I spoke to soon. It is back to the same behavior. I guess I am going to have to do a hard reset :(

Boiler_81,

I had a problem like this when I tried to use certain "var's" that were above var33 !!  My screen would freeze and the "updating" would stay there until I soft reset...

Have you used any higher var's ??

No, I was not using a var higher than 33. So far the hard reset is working. However, I don't have the skin fully populated and most of my apps have not be reinstalled.

As your reinstalling your apps, I would watch closely...   I had once used a version of "TodayPlayer" that didn't like TP at all !!   I again had a problem like you're having...   Maybe yours is an app conflict !!??    :think:

Have You  changed something at the Skincode.?
I have forgotten a comma, this has led to a Hardreset. Perhaps there is something similar at you.

A good idea is to try the simple skins before a hard reset.  Although a hard reset every now and then is a good way to clean your PPC.

I know you haven't chande the code, but:
When I am making code changes I have caused my PPC to go into a restart loop.  I had to push a bunch of the hardware buttons on startup so that I could "distract the PPC away from T+" then I was able to switch the skin.

Axim A5 advanced using the latest Hammer skin US version. I have been using it for the last day with no issues.

Then that is ok.

In latest Hammerskin, there is a var51 and caused some problem.  If you have not experienced any problem with previous ones, I would suggest you to avoid that var51.  At least, we know this one cause the major problem in Spansh OS.
