Title: Soft Reset Data
Post by: dgmele on May 27, 2005, 11:09:48 PM
The "uptime softreset time/duration" command is not functioning on my PPC 2003SE. It is working fine on my PPC 2002. Anyone else notice this? Did I miss something in the posts? Some feedback would help me try to track down the problem.

I've heard about such a problem with newer ppc's in the German forum.
As I don't own such a device, I can't help you with this. Only to let you
know, there are some other, that have this problem too ...

It's a Problem with newer OS and Todayplus.
Go to the Registry and delete the following string: HKEY_Current_User \Software\Srssoft\Todayplus\uptime
( Make a Backup before). After you start the Skin again all is fine.

Thanks, Broesel. It's always nice to know that one is not alone.

Thanks, Wichtel. It works until the next soft reset. Then it just displays the data from the previous reset. Any other thoughts?

Jep, install TodayPlus again over the current installation (Make a Backup before). I have also this problem from time to time. After a new installation it works correct for me.

Tried the reinstall to no avail. Thanks anyway.

Guess I'll just // those lines of code for now. Not really important data anyway. Just don't like things not to work.

Still would like to hear from others who have the same experience.

Strange !!  I run PPC 2003SE on my Dell x50v, and PPC 2002 on my Toshiba e740, and have never had that problem on either device !!  :knownot:

Must be my "Twilight Zone" karma. That you don't have a problem zaps me [forgive] to keep plugging away until I find a reason/solution or I grow weary trying. Thanks.
