I just upgraded to a 50v from my Ax 5 Advanced and was afraid that I was going to lose TP. But with some work and resets I have Hammerskin config, for me, just about as good as calendar plus on my ol Ax 5. I was able to find the answer to one question regarding sunrise sunset and I just commented out the length of daylight line so that took care of that problem but I still need help on two other areas. The first is in my config file may lat long do not stay in the boxes, I can enter them reload go to TP and if I have to go back to the config file the boxes are empty. Anyone know what is going on there?
My biggest problem is with my background picture, Before I loaded TP I had a picture of my Granddaughter which filled the screen nicley. When I loaded TP the picture appeared to be enlarged and just a corner of the picture was visible. I have not changed any of the vga settings, as I don't know how. I looked at the oz_vga site and downloaded it, but I didn't understand what I was reading or what it would do. I read the thread here on vga but I'm still in the dark about this problem. I down loade one of lightman's skins and it did the same thing to it. The picture was a sailboat on a lake but all you end up seeing is the tip of the sail as the picture was enlarged. Will try and show a screen shot.
Sorry for being so long winded but I am happy to have a TP skin working.
Edit: Tried to add screen shot but go error msg. Maybe someone can understand what I am trying to say and provide help.

For your first Problem: edit your lat and long and then tap into another field in the config otherwise the config can't save the information. That's all.
The next Problem: i think you run TodayPlus on a VGA Device in QVGA Modus. Please Read this topic (http://forums.jhollin1138.com/viewtopic.php?t=1736&highlight=vga) to solve this Problem.

I have read the threads you provided, downloaded OzVGA and Tweaks2k2 and did, I think, what the programs said to do. Results, both programs made the background picture fit however TP was so small I had to get a magnifing glass out to see what was on my Today screen. I did notice that the shortcut buttons at the bottom stayed about the same size when I used Tweaks2k2.
Do I do something else after doing the brut force vga or just be happy with what I got and when I want to see pictures of my Granddaughter go to the viewer use it?

Which Hammerskin version use you ? VGA or QVGA ?
I believe it would be the QVGA version modified by rgb08.
That's your problem. On a VGA Device with TodayPlus in VGA modus you need a VGA Skin, otherwise you get the problem you said.
Compares a VGA Skin with a QVGA Skin (open with notpad) and you see the different between the resolutions 240/320 and 480/640 Pixel

Thought I would show you my Today screen, I switched to your VGA skin, and tried using it. Made my own adjustsments, as many as I could do, and am well satisfied with the outcome. Sure am glad I'm retired and have some spare time to work on the skin as it sure is time consuming. Screen is plain and simple. I used your theme and then tried to edit it, doesn't seem like MS theme generator w/SPB addon wants to work on my XP desktop as I always get a lot of errors when I try and save it.
If I could be so bold to ask, if I attached a picture of my granddaughter could you make me a theme with her as the background? I you don't want to I understand, after looking at your skins I don't know how you have time for anything else.
I am also attaching a picture of the rss update section. I tried to move the 0 to the left and adjusted some numebers in the update sec. of reg 12 but nothing happened. Would like some help on what line to change.

Hope you get that VGA device real soon and enjoy it as much as I do mine. I even got the picture size changed so my Granddaughter is not stretched out. I have always wanted to know a 2nd language but I never thought it would be German but I am starting to put some of Wichtel words together. :bow: I am appreciative for all the help. I know just enough to be dangerous to my new 50v but it is still fun.
