Title: Source of weather
Post by: coleman_h on November 02, 2003, 04:29:01 PM
SRS,

Is it possible to change the source of where the weather information comes from?  In other words if we wanted to get the forecast from another source rather than weather channel or weather.com could we set that somewhere in the code?  If so how would we go about doing that?

Thanks

The weather feed comes from MSNBC.com and there is no way to change this at this time. Maybe srs will do this at a later date.

Thanks for the reply BlazingWolf.  I hope that we will have the option to use other options for source of weather info.

I guess the problem with this might be that other weather sources will have a different format for their XML feed.  I don't think we should underestimate the work involved here.

This does tie in with another thought I've been having, which I'll post on another forum, regarding the use of an XSL transformer (anyone know of one for PocketPC?)
