Post by: Bogdan on November 04, 2003, 10:15:44 PM
Thanks to the  srs for the TodayPlus
I just installed a skin by Blazingwolf
Great stuff - was able to to weather the way I wanted it

The cities for time - OK I'm a totalaly lost - how do I change them
Are they in the slider file ?

Like this:

// REGION 10 - PAGE 0
//   World Time
//=================================================
   region,10,0,60
   defregion,10,0,0,240,56,6
   offset,offset_-1,offset_-1
   image,0,0,dotted_line.png,tr
   offsetadd,0,2
   changefont,tahoma,10,b
   image,14,11,analogclock.png,t
   analogclock,29,27,hourhand.png,minutehand.png,tr
   text,29,0,LOCAL,c
   time,29,42,-1,5,c,ddd, h:mm tt
   image,59,11,analogclock.png,t
   time,74,27,4,analog,hourhand.png,minutehand.png
   text,74,0,[name],c
   time,74,42,4,2,c

are they in config file - where?

Help

Can there be more than 5?

Anyway - any bit of help - would be welcome
Thanks in advance

In Blazingwolf's config.txt file, you can find the lines:

time,1,-1,Local:
time,2,4,Los Angeles:
time,3,20,Dallas:
time,4,35,New York:
time,5,85,London:
time,6,105,Paris:
time,7,190,New Delhi:
time,8,235,Tokyo:

The third parameter is the timezone reference, of which a list can be found here:

http://dark-mojo.com/TodayPlus/viewtopic.php?t=3

The second parameter is the id used in the skin file.  A quick peek at Blazingwolf's skin tells me that only -1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are used in the skin, so you should update those lines in your config.txt file to change the timezones.

I'd suggest you try that first.  If you want more than 5 you'll need to do more tweaking, either to grow the region or scroll through the timezones.  I'll let you figure that one out or ask more specific questions.

Okey, Dokey - Thanks for that tip
I'm slooooowly catching on
Was able to change "LOCAL" to "Chicago" - My local time.

(Come to think about it - that may not have been such a good idea - is "LOCAL" necessary for programming purpose???)
Oh well - will find out on next sync when home

Thanks again - will fiddle some more.
I guess your answer is  -  the region can vary in size.

Having fun
