TodayPlus Boards v2

Hey there,

I've been following Today+ for a while.  At first, I couldn't get it to work for some reason, I don't remember what version it was, anyway...  And now, I tried and it works!

Now, like everyone else, I went in the config.txt/slider.txt files to see how I could change things in there, to skin my Today+.

Sure, I can edit the config.txt, select my feeds, cities and stuff, no problem, it's just the skin itself, I'm having a hard time to set the areas and stuff, for the weather and news feeds.  I read the reference guide, but still, maybe I'm not very patient, I don't know.

Actually, the skin I would like is very simple.  I'm pretty sure that it would take minutes (maybe a little longer  :wink: ) to make somethink that would take days for me.  That's why I'm asking if anyone would take a skin request.

As I said, the skin would be very simple, probably more simple than the "simple" skin :lol: .  So, if anyone would volounteer, I would gladly post a picture of what I would like!!

How's about hedging your bets and posting up a picture.  Then we can see if it fits with any of our other projects and one or more people may raise their hands.

Personally, I only have limited time, but gain a perverse pleasure from configuring this great tool, so given the right seed idea I should be able to turn something around.  Be warned, though, anything Lightman, LT, rbg08, et al, produce will probably be more aesthetically pleasing.

Well, looks a lot like the "calendar" skin, with a few differences.

Ok, the "Sunday" doesn't need to be exactly like that, different font, different size, it's all fine.  I only want the weather, news feeds and agenda.  So, no quick links and battery meters.  That's why there's only 3 icons + refresh icon.  The green box is the owner.bmp (or elephant.png).  So I guess that's pretty easy.

When this is done, is it easy to translate things, i.e. "Sunday November 16" to "Dimanche, 16 novembre"??

Finally, I took some time to try to understand the skin... and, well, I think I'm doing better now, and I actually made the skin I wanted!!

I agree. This is the type of skin I want as well with one exception. I want quick links too.  If you post it I can modify it to my liking.
