Title: Weather in 0.10.0
Post by: Everton1878 on November 20, 2003, 04:10:00 AM
Can we revert back to the way that the weather worked in .98?!

I don't find it very useful that it removes the weather info if it's x hours old

If you were away from the net for a couple of days then it would be nice to at least still have the initial weather forcast for the week

Mine usually dissapears overnight, which isn't very useful

Just feel that imho that its been a bit of a backwards step

See this post (http://dark-mojo.com/TodayPlus/viewtopic.php?p=3302#3302) for an answer.  If you don't ever want it to expire, change the 1440 to 10000, or something equally large, although I can't see the benefit of a 5-day, or even 2-day old weather forecast...

I know the forecast can change quite a bit, but something is better than nothing imo, especially if you are unable to to update it for a day or two

Just a thought

No problem.  It's all in the skin, so you have complete control.  My skins, for example, don't expire weather forecasts at all (because I haven't decided how I want to handle it, more than anything).  Try the steps described in my previous post and it should solve your problem.

I've altered the time per your last post, I'll see how I get along with that

Best thing with TodayPlus (maybe should be a motto for it) if you don't like something you can change it!  :D
