Title: Any chance of a simple tutorial?
Post by: DerekTheGeek on November 26, 2003, 02:31:00 AM
I know for myself it would be really helpful if someone could take a simple example and write up a step by step tutorial on how to create a basic skin. The skin reference is great but a walk through with an actual example to follow would be great. The more of us that understand the more help we can be to others in the same situation. Give me food and feed me for a day, but teach me how to manipulate regions and pages in today plus and you......well...you get the picture.

Aww comon give a geek some love....

It's not the perfect answer, but I tried to make my Minimal skin (http://dark-mojo.com/TodayPlus/viewtopic.php?t=658) pretty readable by structuring it carefully and including plenty of comments.  You could take a look.  The only downside is that it doesn't contain the POOM functionality yet.
