Weather: Error: System.Net WebException : Could not find

Still no luck. Could not find resource assembly
I have my PDA docked and am browsing the web with Internet Explorer through the PDA. I can navigate to the weather site.
I have downloaded .Net Compact Framework 1.0 SP2 and installed.
I have tried both the city.  and Zip.  I reside in Orion MI USA.

I have taken PDA home and connected and browsed through WiFi network. Then tried setup. Same error.

Issues I might have.
1. I am behind a secure firewall. (but I can browse using IE on PDA and others on this site have got firewall to work with PPC 2003)
2. I am syncing through a win 98 PC.  ( I don't know what other software needs to installed on this machine.

Since I have tried at home without firewall or win98 machine, it leads me to believe it is still some setting in todayplus options/software.

Have you tried a bigger city somwhere near you? Not all areas are able to have weather specified for them.

When downloading .NET I came accross another file that must first be downloaded and installed BEFORE installing the .NEt if using Win98 or ME. It's on the same webpage but I can't remember the name.

I have installed TP on a new Axim 3xi and still get the same error. This time the PDA is connected to a XP machine.

I have tried a bigger city, Detroit.

On the 98 machine it did require that I install a updated installer program.

Is anyone else having this problem?

The x3i has net framwork built in the rom, so you should not have to install it.

This has happened to me as well but ONLY when using connection through ActiveSync.

If I go online with my mobile phone via GPRS (no ActiveSync) , the config.exe finds the cities, adds them and syncs all weather without any problems.

So, maybe it could be a problem with the way how TP is handling the connection via ActiveSync?

Unfortunately, I do not have that option. I thought I had tried this through my wifi and got the same error, But I will try again tonight at home.

Maybe the developer can look into this.

I too am having the problem - I enter UKXX0019 (for Blackpool, UK) in the City box, click on Search and up comes the error Exception, System.Net.WebException:WebException

Any ideas ?

I just typed in Blackpool,UK and it works fine. Please type it in as I did.
