How do I autorefresh a region?

I've placed my battery bar, uptime, and sun elevation in the same region and would like them to autorefresh, like every 5 seconds (to keep up with the sun elevation changes, battery depletion, uptime).

Please tell me how I get the region to refresh itself and to not just overwrite the existing values (it eventually looks like just black spots because the old values don't actually go away).

I've tried using the clearregion commands and adding values to the end of the region name (region,17,0,5), but it doesn't work. Due to the fact that I'm not even close to being a prolific programmer, can someone tell me what the specific place values are for (ie. defregion,17,0,0,240,18,1 - what are all these numbers for???)

Go HERE and download the skin reference file. It will give you lots of help in regards to the commands. It is not up to version 11 so some things are missing but it will get you well on your way.
