Hi

could someone tell me how i in TP v 0.98;

change one of the clocks, say New Delhi, to a large city in Dubai ?

I.e. what changes do i have to perform and where ?

Where can i find the specifics (ID) for any given city ?

I have searched the forum but didnt find any specific recommendations.

(This may be forwarded to section FAQ - it will probably be of generel interest)

Thanks for any help, and best regards

I reckon this issue is adressed some time before too, but here you go..

Look in config.txt for a line like

time,6,20,Dallas

with the last word being the name of the city that you want to replace.

Then get this Skin reference file and in the included file there is a timezone reference table near the end of the file. Need to code of Dallas (20) to whatever you need and name of the city also. That will solve your problem.

Hi, thanks that helped, but there is stilll something that doesnt fit;

If i want to change the Local to another location, simply changing

time,1,-1,Local to e.g. time,1,235, Tokyo

the local time is still shown. What do i have to change this (o dont need the local time, that is shown somewhere else on the today screen)

Best regards Jorn

Which skin do you use?  It's possible that the "Local" label is hard-coded.  Have you checked that it is actually the local time or Tokyo time with the wrong label?

Hi

i use rev 0.98 standard txt files.

I see no change in local, the time is shown correctly as my local time, no matter the changes i make in the config.txt file
