Hi

My first post. Fantastic programme TodayPlus - I am learning slowly but one thing that has me stuck at present is as follows:

I have changed weather settings such that temperature displays in degrees celcius - I edited the config.txt file with f for c.

However the screen displays still shows oF as does the detailed summary for the day. Is there a way of changing this to oC.

I must install a screen capture so I can attach pictures to explain my problem!

Clear the buffer folder and refresh the data.  This should get the proper info downloaded.

Also look for lines like this under the weather section of the skin.

today,realtemp,140,24,,°F,r

Change the f to a c there should be 4 to 6 lines like that.

If the numbers still look wrong, you might need to reload the plug-in, by going to Settings->Today->Items and clicking ok.

Wow

What quick responses - got it working. Thanks everyone. I'll keep tweaking. I am now trying to add a second weather channel for the Isle of Man. Couldn't get it working last night.

Hi

I am using slider and battery+ skins. Edited the config.txt for the following:

var,numcities,2

city,1,60,UKXX0285,Home,c
city,2,60,IMXX0001,Douglas,c

Weather for first one displays fine, second one comes up with no data. Tried clearing the buffer but still no success.

Check that MSNBC.com has IMXX0001 as a valid city code.  They only seem to support a subset of the non-US weather.com cities.

Checked MSNBC.com and the Isle of Man isn't listed.

Out of interest is there an easy way of finding a list of valid weather codes. Cannot see anything obvious on MSNBC or Weather.com.

Wanted to add Bulgaria too - but that doesn'y appear either.

I am not sure where you have been looking to, but you may want to check this here for Bulgaria:

or
http://www.msnbc.com/news/wea_front.asp?tab=&ta=y&inst=n&action=a&pos=&ctry=Bulgaria

The Isle of Man really seems to be a problem ...

Have fun anyway :D
Bye,
