I have been using TodayPlus for a day now, and absolutely love it!  The features and customization abilities are superb.

I have, however, run into a bit of a snag...since installing TodayPlus I can no longer get my Axim to sync with my desktop computer.  My Axim is recognized by ActiveSync and the desktop, but seems to time-out when trying to sycnronize my appointments, etc.

I get the following error:
"There was no response from your mobile device while checking for out-of-date Appointments.  Disconnect your device and try again.  If problems persist, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturer's documentation and syncronize again."

Has anyone else run into this problem?  I have tried soft-resetting numerous times to no avail.  I have also removed all other custom Today Plug-ins, fearing compatibility issues, to no avail.  If I uninstall TodayPlus, everything syncs just fine.  I'm at a loss here.  Can somebody offer any advice?

Are there any known compatibility issues with TodayPlus and any other programs that could be causing this?

Here's some pertinent info:

PPC 2002
ActiveSync 3.7.1
Outlook 2000
TodayPlus v0.10.2

Thanks in advance!!!

I still can't get my PPC to sync with my desktop...

I've tried changing my syncing options to sync one item at a time, but it doesn't matter - nothing will sync - not the calendar, tasks, inbox, or anything.  This sucks!

I REALLY want to make this work, TodayPlus is such a great program!  If no one can give me some insight, I'm affraid I may have to start removing programs one at a time to see if I can get it to work.  I want to try and avoid this if at all possible!

Could it be some setting in TodayPlus or on my PPC/Desktop that could be causing this?

Someone help!

I've noticed that since installing Today Plus, sometimes when I cradle my HP Jornada 568, ActiveSync will recognize the connection, start looking for changes, then suddenly changes to "Not Connected."  I would then re-cradle it, sometimes shut down ActiveSync from Task Manager, or soft-reset my PPC, and some combination usually will get it going again.  90% of the time re-cradling it once or twice will work.

I'm not sure if my PPC's sync connector is physically dirty or failing, or is it just general ActiveSync unreliability (which I've seen many times before also, but not reverting to "Not Connected"), or could this be related to T+.

Love T+, still on 0.9.8 with a customized skin.  No time to upgrade and retrofit the skin.

I have found that if I disable ActiveSync before placing in cradle I connect 100% of the time.  If I leave Activesync loaded it cuts down to aprox 90%.

Thanks for your input and experiences guys, it's much appreciated.

Here's an update on my situation...

I've found that it's something about my work computer that is causing the problem.  I can sync my Axim just fine on my home computer, but for some reason it still refuses to sync at work.  Unfortunately, there are SOOO many things that are different between the two computers that I have no idea where to start looking.

I was thinking of starting by comparing applications that are running in the background to see if there is a conflict there.  After that, I'm not sure where to go.

I have noticed that even though my home computer is 2 years older than my work computer, it syncs significantly faster than my work computer.  When syncing with my work computer was working, it was REALLY slow.  My work computer only has 128 MB of RAM - yes, only 128 MB with Windows XP Home (the company I work for obviously skimped on me), and I'm wondering if this could be the problem.  But, it really shouldn't require any more memory to sync just because of TD+, should it?

I've only had my Viewsonic V36 for about a week, but I've noticed that it won't stay connected to my work computer.  It stays plugged in all day long, but a few hours after first plugging it in, ActiveSync shows it is disconnected.  My old Casio would stay connected all day.

I've been wondering if it's connected with TodayPlus.  Seems odd, but I was thinking that maybe when TodayPlus tries to access the Internet through my work computer, and can't access the Internet because of security (I hadn't input my userID and password into my PPC to give it access.), then it completely kills the ActiveSync connection with my desktop computer.

Today I entered my userID and password into my PPC so that it could freely access the Internet, so I guess tomorrow I will test that theory.

I need to edit the config file so that TodayPlus doesn't access the Internet so often.  I'm pretty sure the computer police where I work will notice and have an issue with it.

Thanks,

My V36 stayed plugged into my work computer all day today, and I never ran into any loss of connection issues with ActiveSync.  Makes me think that the theory I mentioned in my previous post might be true.
