New dilemma

Nothing is updating. Not weather, RSS, or radar. I installed Norton Antivirus 2005 is this the culprit? or Airscanner mobile firewall.

Well, I would think of the firewall, what happens when you deactivate it ?

I removed it. I even tried to hard reset reinstall TP Using sliderskin and no other programs installed on PDA and it would not update. I'm thinking it is Norton. There are two new options in norton av -script blocking, and worm blocking both only allow access to certian programs . Could TP be one that is not allowed?

I have even tried to add a city (for weather) in config and after hitting search I get this-Exception:System.Net.WebException: Could not find resource assembly
Also cannot access anything on PIE while connected through home PC[/img]

What is your connection setting in your device and did you check the setting at AS side too?

Since you did a hardrest, so maybe the default seeting was not right.

Here are my setting:

Device:

Start --> Settings --> Tab 'Connections' -->Connections --> Tab 'Advanced'  --> Select Networks :  I have "My Work Network" in both fields.

ActiveSync:

File --> Connection Settings :  I have both "Allow USB....." and "Allow Network...." checked.

I hope this help.  This setting work for me at home.

How do you synchronize ? WiFi or USB?

UK; I have work network in both fields also. I also went in my backyard and connected to my neighbors AP and was able to update no problems via Wifi.( so I'm thinking its Norton AV )

Deactivate the Scriptblocking in NAV and try it again.

Did you try to completely deactivate the firewall ?
Did you follow uk_skinners instructions to connect to the internet?
Are you able to connect to internet via pocket-internet-explorer ?

I think the same as Broesel: the Firewall is the Problem. I also use Norton AV 2005 and no Problems. Check your Firewall protokoll

Well it was either the AS mobile firewall, or MS antispyware beta. I disabled the firewall and still no update, so I removed it completely. I also noticed MS antispyware was running and stopped it. Anyhow Im back up and running. Once I can update again I,ll be able to narrow it down to one of the two. Thank you all for your help !!!!!!!!!!
