Agenda date on same line as agenda item

I've gone back to using the hammerskin, but to get a larger agenda I've removed the RSS and increased the hight, so far so good.

Now, how do I get the date onto the same line as the item rather than above it? (i.e. 18 Mar 10am-11am Go shopping, like with the OSX skin?)

I can make the day disappear and hence I would have thought put it on the line with the item, but I still get gap rows where the day was.

Put simply where is the code that puts the date on a different row to the item, I can't see it and was unable to see this in the skin reference file.
