I notice a few blank icons on my main screen, how do I assign shortcuts to it?

Could you be a more precise? Where do you have blank icons? In the launcher section? Maybe you could make a screenshot, it will be a lot easier for people on this forum to help you.

Ok, that's clear. I think you don't need to post a screenshot.

You have to change the config file.
I don't know if you are an experienced user, but here is an expample:

The config file:
Go to your File Explorer, My Device --> Program Files --> Todayplus
Here you can find the config file. Open it.
Than go to the shortcut section (for expample, a line begins with: shortcut,quick1,\windows\calendar.Ink,Calendar)
When you want to change some shortcuts, just find out the directory you want, for example, you have Monopoly installed, just change the last part of the shortcut in: \windows\start menu\games\monopoly.Ink,Monopoly

I'll hope that you can understand what I'm saying (or writing :wink: )

So basically just just the directory address in the line right? I tried that and have no luck. Here's how I got mine.
//Shortcuts for Group 2
shortcut,apps-2-1,\windows\start menu\programs\calculator.lnk,Calculator
shortcut,apps-2-2,\windows\start menu\programs\file explorer.lnk,Explorer
shortcut,apps-2-3,\windows\start menu\PocketMusic.exe <-not working
//shortcut,apps-2-4,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-5,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-6,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-7,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-8,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-9,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-10,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-11,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-12,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-13,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-14,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-15,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-16,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-17,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-18,\windows\start menu\programs\
//shortcut,apps-2-19,\windows\start menu\programs\

That is probaly because you have it listed with an extension of .exe. if you are pointing to a shortcut it needs to be a .lnk(little L). Try changing that and see if it works. Here is an example  of mine:

shortcut,quick11,\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\PocketMusic.lnk, PocketMusic
Toshiba E800 WM2003 SE
Ipaq 3955 WM2003, SD and CF,Pocket Informant
Dell Axim X5 PPC2002 SD and CF (Wife's)

Are you sure that PocketMusic is intalled in the \windows\start menu\ directory.
I think that it is installed in \windows\start menu\programs\

And try what BlazingWolf said: Pocketmusic.Ink

ok things are getting much clearer, I just point the directory straight onto the folder instead of start menu. But one thing is still missing. The correct icon isn't appear.

If you point to the folder that Pocketmusic.exe is in then you must state that. Example:

shortcut,apps-1-3,\windows\notes.exe,Notes

You can point to .exe and .lnk but the whole path must be there.

What I did prior was created a shortcut to my start menu hence when creating a shortcut the exe is automatically added to the extension. I decided to point it straight into the root folder of the application I'm able to get the shortcut to work now. Just wondering why I couldn't get the correct icon to appear on the shortcut.

Blazingwolf

It should automatically come up with the icon. Not sure why it wouldn't.

Well either way as long as it works ICONS are only pluses,

Thanks for all the help, BTW: How do you like your 3955 with PPC2003? I have the same PPC waiting until it floats around kazaa or something. :)

Blazingwolf

I love it. Seems faster(maybe in my head). Plus I don't have to load the .net compact framework into RAM. So I can run all the new programs coming out without worry.
