how to pop up owner informations and image?

Thank you very much for your great application!!!!
I've just dowloaded it and I'm trying to learn to use it.
My version is 0.9.8. At present my program doesn't shows owner informations and images. I tried to delete srs default line from config.txt putting my own name, but nothing appeared.
Any suggestion?

As per the post Jim referenced, the slider.txt skin which comes with TodayPlus does not have an owner section.

If you are keen to learn to skin TP, consider the following pointers to amend the date/buttons section to contain owner information:

• expand region 0 page 0 to be big enough to accommodate your image (you must change defregion and offsetadd commands)
  
• amend the height command
  
• amend the calcspace commands
  
• see Jim's post for details of the relevant text/image commands to use

I know these instructions are vague, but should point you in the right direction.  Give it a try and please do come back with specific questions if you hit any problems.

I'm not able to solve this problem. I've substituted my previous skin with the one you've suggested to me, and I've added the Owner section to it but nothing's happened. Is there a specific point where to add such section? And then I've looked for in the new config.txt program (downloaded with the new skin) the lines with the owner default name, but I haven't found them. Is it normal?

I think the best way for us to help you with this is if you attach your slider.txt file and provide details of the dimensions of the image file you want to use.

Your slider.txt file can be found in the Program Files\TodayPlus\Skins directory.

We need to know the size of your image in pixels.

If you are just using the standard skin that comes with TodayPlus, just attach your owner image to a post and we can see what we can do.  There is a new version of TodayPlus due out imminently, so I'd plan to wait a day or so.

Really, my previous question about slider.txt was absolutely stupid!!!
I don't know what I was thinking about!!!  Sorry!!!
However, actually I'm using calendar2.txt, just downloaded, and so I have my section with name and phone number, but no address and no Image.
I was thinking to use an image 56 x 78 pixels (2 x 2,79 cm), in PNG format.
I've tried to attach my skin.txt but it seems to be too big! How can I do? Do you need any particular page?

Ok, I was just going to post a new topic with the same title today, so maybe I'll just add this here. BTW I am a student taking java right now so this all really does make sense to me!

Anyway, I want to expand my default slider.txt to have an owner page like the analog-weather.txt, where it overlaps the region 0 (date and main buttons in slider) on power-on and displays owner, pic, and other info. The owner area wont require any more space, it will just overlap everything or hopefully only half the region if I can figure out how to do that. I will have a return button to get back to the date page.

My plan of attack was to look at the code for this in analog-weather and incoperate it into slider changing x's, y's, and hopefully not much else.

I'm not looking to have someone do it for me, half the fun is doing it. I just don't want to start and find out it's not possible because I didn't understand something. So far, experience has been that the methods in TodayPlus are easy to learn, and don't require knowlege of abstract ideas.
That's what makes it so appealing i think!

Are there any pitfalls or snags that might hinder me? Should this be a straight forward job?

Actually any suggestion about the usual argument "Owner image".
I reduced, if necessary my image dimensions to 40 x 60 or even 26 x33 pxls. Where do you think will be possible to locate the image: near to the owner informations? or is it possible to replace these ones with the image tapping a button (something similar to what happens tapping on the weather icons?)

Woohoo, I have an owner pic, I made it apart of region 0 and just added a new page. Page 0 has no pic, page 1 has it. Easy as pie. If anyone wants some advice on this topic let know.
