Just curious, as I always like to know my options:

--Is the .NET SP2 required by .11 (http://www.dark-mojo.com/TodayPlus/viewtopic.php?p=5023#5023) specifically a PocketPC installation, or will it additionally update the .NET architecture on my W2K notebook?

--Can the .NET SP2 be uninstalled from the PocketPC at a later date, or will it take a hard reset to permanently remove it?

(EDIT: changed the subject line.)

1.  I think this version is just for the PPC platform and it won't upgrade the PC version.

2.  It will show itself in the PPC Add/Remove programs, so you can uninstall it from there.

Eitel,

Thanks for the quick response!  Appreciate the answer.

The latest in PC platform is .NET framework 1.1 released back in April. There is no update after that as I know.

In case you are interested, here is the link - .Net Framework 1.1

The config.exe program seems to work fine on WM2003... are the .NET dll's built in?

I believe the .NET Framework 1.1 is for PC operation systems such as Windows 98, ME, 2000 etc., where .NET Compact Framework 1.0 (SP1, SP2) is for embedded operating systems such as Windows CE (1.x,2.x,3.x), Pocket PC 2000/2002, Windows Mobile 2003, and other derivatives of Windows CE.

Yes, Windows Mobile 2003 has .NET Compact Framework installed in ROM, but I believe most PPCs currently only have version 1.0.
