My guess is that SRS got really ticked when the whole "I can't believe these betas will expire" whining dominated the boards.  At that point, I believe this project stopped being fun for him.  Guys like SRS do this for fun and, apparently, not for money.  So, he is probably letting enough time go by so he can try to re-energize the fun factor.  I suspect he is working on other project and focusing on school work.  We can beg and plead for him to come back, but I suspect that won't speed things up.  He needs to come to the decision on his own as to whether working on TD+ is still fun.  I think we should all prepare ourselves for the possibility is that his answer will be no.

It's easy when we use free speech rationalizations to critisize and attack someone who's only incentive to give us all something is fun and an environment of sharing and support.

I don't like it either, but I can understand it and saw it coming.

For what it's worth,
I sure SRS comes back. I just got everything set up like I wanted it only to find out it may die.  This program is great. At other sites, I see where people purchase products like journal bar, pi, etc.. Todayplus does all this and more. If SRS is giving up on the program, do you think he would release to us a version of 11 or 12 that doesn't expire? That would at least keep some us skinning, etc.. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I agree with HansH, the seriousness of the situation in my opinion now is less about toady+ and more about srs and his well being. If srs has decided to call it quits then I for one will respect that decision, even though I think it will be a great and immense loss.    But I would really just like some acknowledgement that he is ok and perhaps he is taking a sabbatical or something

There are a lot of people here who have the utmost respect for srs and his talents in bringing us this program, and I hope he respects the rest of us enough to at least just let us know that he is ok.

I hope this program lives on as I have own a PPC since the original Windows CE and this is one of the most versatile, fun and useful plug-in I have ever had the pleasure to use.

Hope Srs keeps up this awesome work.

Maybe this is a stupid question but you are the creator of this forum so can you find any statisitics who is online and when, and then search srs...? Maybe you get some usefull information...

Just love to here SRS is OK. Or do you say "Live and Kicking"
Life do's go on without TodayPlus but loosing a SRS is a loss.
There is many software for the Pocket PC but..
There is not manny of these creatures you know.
