And I was just clarifying my question so that others would know that I was only referring to the publicly released versions.

The last posting I am aware of by SRS anywhere, was when you and he had that heated discussion over at Brighthand (I am not bringing that up to get that going again just as a mater of fact).

Why would you mention it then? The question is not when the last post was but if SRS actually ever publicly stated what should happen to TP after he was done with it.

I bring it up for two reasons.

One, the fact that in the four or five post he made, he never addresses the fact that people are still running his expired software.

And two, that is the last time SRS made any comments publicly regarding TodayPlus that I am aware of.

I just would like to express my thoughts as late comer again.

Perhpas, in some previous users' eyes, I am just a "poor", "naive" kid still believe that Santa will bring my gift under the tree (my stock is too small) in Christmas eve.  Yes, I am still a believer and still believe miracles.  And my wish to Santa last year was to hope srs will come back     .  Laugh me if you wish.  

Am I crazy or nuts or stubborn or stupid?  Maybe.  But I am enjoying what I am doing right now.

I am no developer so I live in a different world, perhaps.  So much I appreciate that srs can come out this piece of software.  I do know the reality, it will be gone if he can not continue to work on it.  But until that day comes, I will continue to explore it (of course unless srs tell me to stop it).

No. I browse this forum often to keep up with any TP news. I did not just come back. I was always here.

Uhh yes. Obviously if I am posting about it, then it matters to me. I posed on this topic because I am curious as to why people are reluctant to give away (publicly released) versions of TP even though no public statement has been made. I think that a lot of people on the forum may actually think there was a statement. I just wanted to make it clear that SRS has not made his wishes known publicly. I am not try to provoke anything!

Are you talking about a software just like TP from me? I dont have time for a project like this. I barely have time to keep up my one public project that I have going. I am a full-time student and also work to pay the bills. Whatever time is left over gets put into CoursePro. If TP was open sourced I would definitly try to contribute to the project with some code, but I just cant start a project like this from scratch right now.


It seems like there is a bit of hostility toward me for the discussion that took place at BH. Anyone that feels this way should go back and reread the conversation. All I was doing was answering someone's question as to why people were mad about the expiration. SRS is the one that came in swinging and telling lies. I was not trying to provoke anyone then or now. I even wished him good luck with the family issues he was having. He took his ball and went home. Maybe he wasn't cut out to be a developer? But, there could be a million reasons why he isnt here today. Who am I to speculate. Whatever he chose to do, I still wish him good luck.

The reason I am here is very simple.  I like TP program, I guessed you do or did, otherwise you will not come back here.  If you are still using TP (I will not bet on it), and like what we are doing here, no one certainly (at least myslef) will object your comment and help.  On the other hand, if you are not really intersting in using it, you still can come to check us.  

I guess, whatever happened has happened.   At least we all adults (based one your statement, I probably older than you) and we all make justification of our actions.  Those justifications might not be acceptable or understable by others.  As long as you can live with it, then just fine.

Dam, all this talk about me, sure makes a guy feel good.

Ok now for the good stuuf, first i would like to say I sell my skins not todayplus. I spend alot of hours making my skins, I have the right to sell them. Now the poeple that where around for the begining of todayplus wil know that i gave away all my skins, graphics, icons, codeing, ect for free, the only thing that i asked for in return was acknoligment, thats it. And sh*t it was alot, more then anyone of you guys and you know it.

 The reason i started selling my skins is becouse poeple where taking my codeing and graphics and not giving me any credit what so ever, not every one but most, and i was tired of it, spending all that time and other poeple get credit for it bullsh*t.

  Now zapme Dam straight my codeing that i created, is copyrighted. I was not going to make the same mistake that srs did. And any programer can tell you when you creat code you can copyright it. And yes what you see in the .txt files is code like it or not.

  And yes i created so much for todayplus, I was the first one to creat a full skin, ( brighthand days before todayplus forums) i was the one who turned the skins to real skins, the first ticker, the first pic veiwer, the first background changer, text color changer, weather icons changer, radar images and so on and so on. sh*t, if it wasn't for me alot of the stuff in the skins you use today is becouse of me, So who in the hell are you guys to tell me not to sell my creations.

 Todayplus pack consits of 5 skins for todayplus not one. corbcut pack consits of 3 skins and 5 programs. Custom install consits of 5 skins, and you paying 30 dolars for a program custom that is for each person. that will set every thing up for you, and i mean every thing. most poeple have trouble setting it up well this takes care of it instaed of spending hours doing it. If you don't like what i sel well to F@$king bad, don't buy it.

  Srs does not have any kind of leagal notes stating that the program can not be distriputed, And most poeple that buy my skins already have todayplus, and if they don't i tell them to try to goggle it, if if all false yes i will give them a free copy of todayplus, that is freeware, that you can get on the net, that you guys tell poeple you can get it on the net.

 I will stae it again i do not bundle tp in any way that is a fact, i sell my skins and nothing else, i have that right leagaly. And i do have copyrightes to my code.

   No you do not need other skins if you run ET2, but poeple like verity, they change skins all the time, i know i do. And i am sure most of you do. Again i don't distrupute tp for profit i sell my skins for profit.

I love your skin and got it lookin how I want - I changed the names below the icons once I figured out where in the code they were lol (hope you dont mind) and I put some of my own wallpapers in there.

Plan on making any more like ET??  And... I am assuming you made plugins to use with the two 'plugin' icons on the second page.... what are they and where can I find em??

With that said, I believe that you really don't even know what a "copyright" is.!  To copyright something, you have to be the "original creator"..  You DID NOT create TP, OR the code that makes it work !!  You were a beta tester just like others who were given the "privledge" of using a program made by SRS...   And SRS your NOT !!!   SRS is the "Only" one who can copyright this code.......................!

When I bought your ET skin, it was because I thought it was a nice piece of work..  At that point, I was already more then half way done with a skin of my own..  Most of the code in my skin was gotten from the "Skin Reference", which by the way, was also NOT written by you !!  Other ideas and the design, were my own..  I learned much about TP and skinning from Lightman, and many hours of trial and error on my own !!!
And yes, I did attempt to sell my skin, or should I say my time and my design, but I also proved to you, that everything in my skin was different from yours, and standard TP code (owned by SRS... Not you !)
Even your sun icon, which you accused me of stealing, was email to you along side of the one I used to show you that they were different...  You again there lowered yourself to "childish name calling"
If you want to sue me, then every skinner is also with me because we all use the same code...   Have a good life !!!!!
