Yes i did soft reset but not after every month, i will try that and let you know. are you all using the first version 12 or the second one he put up after a day or so.

I have tried two versions of the 0.12.0 dll (12/31/03 2:53pm and 12/31/03 7:53pm) and they both expire.

Dear LT,

Although I know that T+ will be out in merely two weeks, I am still working on it as if nothing would happen. Kind of silly.

Anyways, I do have a small problem that I may need your help. After a soft reset, the first city in the Weather/rss no longer loads weather icons. I removed all the cities and put them back in, but in a different order. But it doesn't matter which one is the first city, it simply refuses to load the icons. All other cities are find, and I do have the text information.

Any ideas? I know you are busy with all kinds of TodayAdv stuff, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

This really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. As a moderator, active skinner and participant in the "beta-beta" program, you had access to, and an influence on, the direction that TP was taking. You also had the benefit of 1315 members of this forum providing feedback on TP and on your skins - and now you "go commercial" on us? To the extent of claiming copyright on your Battery+ skin? This stinks - looks to me like you took advantage of us all to further your commercial program at the expense of TP. And $19 dollars for a Today plug-in? WHAT? Let me see now - 19 * 7 = 133 South African Rand + taxes and Import duties = R220 South African Rand = 11 Big Macs with all the trimmings . Well, here's an easy decision - let's not buy an overpriced, derivative and somewhat smelly piece of software.

I agree wholeheartedly with Lightman, Arbitrajeu et al on this one, and note (with regret) that I now have to remove your skin from my machine since I certainly don't want to break copyright when I change anything in the skin.

Personally, if TP+ dies it will be sorely missed. More importantly I will continue to be concerned about the wellbeing of srs until he returns or someone is able to report that he is in good health. His continued absence from these fora is worrying.

first you can use anything on here and do what you want with it. What i made i made myself. I didn't use anybody and espaecily you. what is copyrited is TodayAdv and the addons that go with it. Anything on here you can use just like before. You really need to get you'r facts straight.
and selling a program for 19.99 is pretty cheap, for upgrades for life. sh*t there is siftware fo 40$ on up to do i thing. where have you been hidding. don't you buy software? And if you buy LTwisted12 you can get TodaAdv for 5.00 so really you'r paying 15.00 for it. 11 bigmacs dam boy you need to go on a diet. Hmmmm i don't know im smelling it right now and it smells fine. If you don't like don't buy it is as simple as that. And the only reason i contuinued deveploment on it is I and evryone else here love Todaypls, and evryone wanted something to takes it;s place, and that srs himself told me to take my creations and make my own programe.

We all feel the same way, but srs has been here since this started and never said anything, and thats the times i saw him. So something is up.

Ok i got so many replies for beta testing i added 5 more so there will be 20 all together. I will send the info today, i am just waiting on three emails, they pmed me but i need them to send me emails, i will wait till 6:00 toinight if they don,t email me then i will send the info out and we will only have 17. I cannot believe on what I have read...  And I'm REALLY disappointed and confused exactly like my users in Italy are.

Lordtwisted, sincerely I would have waited for a little more before publishing a new software in order to replace Today Plus. I will remember ALWAYS what a great software was T+ above all because was a freeware.  That's enough for me.

Since there's a batch out to change the date, it looks like T+ just might survive the Feb. doom. If that happens, do you think you'd still release your LT 0.12.0 to people who may continue to use T+, or is the 0.12.0 now totally in the TodayAdv territory?

Just a note:  There are a few PPC user groups along the East Coast (USA) that finds the TodayAdv a little uncomfortable.  Maybe there is just a perception of unethical activity, but nevertheless, this topic has spawned some interesting debates.

The concensus seems to be to steer clear of Adv and pursue other ideas and plug-ins.  The idea being to 1) support the original developer's intellectual property, and 2) encourage future open forum beta programs.

One suggestion, LT,  would be to retire all previous TodayPlus skins and images and redesign Adv using a different look, and/or to give credit to srs for the original architecture.  No one is passing judgement, but this one might be too close to ignore.  Again, just a suggestion.

Hi Lt - I'm still using the LTv11 skin and I have a problem with one of the buttons in the Agenda section.  The 'up' arrow works just fine - if I hit that, it shows me appts from last week.  But if I hit the 'down' arrow, it only shows me an appt. from 1/13/00 instead of showing appts for next week.  Here's the code for the two buttons.  Can you tell me what to change?
