Andre:  I found an issue if I tried to run radar.exe within TP.  What I did was to run exe and all 24 radar images were downloaded in /My Documents, no problem.  Then I deleted all of them, then run exe in TP again, no problem, all of images were there.  But when I tried to delete them and run the third time, some of images were missing and the weather image in the skin were gone too.  Exit TP and reload it did not solve the issue, the weather image were still missing.  Soft rest did not work it either.  The only solution was to do another weather information update (only, no radar image downloading), then everything went back to normal.  However, I have not seen this happened yet when you run exe outside of TP.  It seemed to me, that when exe finished the downloading, somehow the TP did not complete release it.  This might not an issue we could solved within TP.  AGain, I also pushed TP too much, downloading 24 images too many times.

Hey, thank you for the link.

Gentleman! I have found something interesting. I find if I have my Axim in the cradle and try to refresh the radar screens, I don't always complete the update.

But if I am out of the cradle using Wi-Fi I complete the update at least 99% of the time. So what is happening is that the USB 2.0 connection is not fast enough for that large a file to not time out. Until a way is figured to increase the time that EZ-download uses per map we mite have this problem.

Please check out my findings and verify if I am correct.

Joelw135,  The time was set for 5 sec per image based on Rotalus.  We thought it should be enough, but looks like we need to change that.

Andre, Maybe we can increase to 7 secs.  What do you think?

joelw135

I think that mite work since our storm.exe has been timing out also. The reason I know this is that the image is partially there, and the rest is just distortion.

Rotlaus:  The reply email from EzDownload author has been forward to you and I have tried his suggestion.  The speed of downloading seemed to be improved if I don't add delay and just closehandle each time.  However, I was still having the problem, no files was saved after 24x3 downloading.  After reading jolew135's post, I tried to use wi-fi as internet connection, guess what, the problem was gone.  I tried up to 10 times without any problem.  Right now, it looks to me the peoblem was the ActiveSync.  I will try to see how this hold if we call it within Hammerskin...

@uk_skinner: I implemented the tip from Mr. Masataka too. Works like a charme.

Also new in this exe is, you can put it where you want. No need for 'My Documents' any more. The only restriction is, that the radar.txt have to be in the same directory as the Radar.exe.

Greetings,

Andre

Broesel:  I assumed you download the radar.exe and it failed to run under ppc2002, right?  If that is the case, I can try to download the complier for ppc2002 and recomplier it for you.  But you have to be a little bit patient...  Usually, I will screw up...
