Why did srs pull out?

First off, I've been looking for this answer and view many forums with discussion of 'was it a beta or not?', 'why the experation dates?', etc. so we don't need to go back down that route.

What I haven't found is WHY did srs stop the project? He certainly put in a great deal of work into what is an excellent product, why just walk away?

I think srs just didn't want or need to listen to all the negative feedback that he received. Many people felt that he deceived the users by not announcing that the betas retired. I personaly don't agree with that. But we will not go there. srs was beat-up by many and he just said that he has enougth on his mind and didn't need this at this stage in his life.

It just seems a situation where nobody wins, everybody loses!  

If only....

if only all people had realised it was a beta and hence worked on it with this in mind / not skinned....

General searching on the 'net for 'todayplus', it just seems rather similar.... same name, looks the same, version coding the same...

However, that is probably down to the programmer copying the ideas?

I don't know just and I just sent him an email.  I have a Palm T3 and will install to see it...

Edit:  Well, this Palm's TodayPlus is very different from ours.  It only provide the agenda function so far and there is a weather section but not working..  The programmer seemed to be in Thailand.  So probably he is not srs...

I can confirm that the programmer that is developing TodayPLUS for the Palm "Somchai Saelao" is not our SRS.  I am basing this on SRS's registered information on his account.

BTW, The last time we heard from SRS was over at Brigthhand.  Also, the last time he visited this forum (or Eitel's version) as SRS was March 28, 2004.
