I've noticed that since I've added some RSS feeds, and increased my number of pages cached on some feeds, that the time it takes to Update has also increased for weather, news, etc...

Can this be related to pages cached ??   :?:  :(

ZapMe1:  I would guess so.  Look your buffer folder, you will see all these html pages were downloaded.  I think but not sure, if you have more graphics in the site, all these will go to your Internet Temporary Folders.  Again, I am not sure... :P

Thanks UK !!

I just tried to clear my buffer folder, and that didn't help !!   :(

I guess I'll try changing the number of cached pages at random, and see if that helps !!

ZapMe1:  I did not mean that it will be helpful if you clean your buffer folder.  If you still chose to cache the link, then TP will download the html pages and store into the buffer folder and possible all the graphics most of them are ad.) into internet temporary folder.  One thing I am not sure is how does TP download these pages, if TP use html controller provided by IE, then you know it will be slooooooooow.  My suggestion is to limit the number of pages to be cached.

ZapMe1,

I mostly don't use RSS feeds on my pda: only the weatherdetails are imported. NB: this costs me some minutes, mostly !! But sometimes the same things go within fifteen seconds. So I think that weather.com could be the wrong-doer...

Hello Gents !

Thanks for your ideas & quick response..

I tried decreasing the #of pages cached in rss, and that seems to have made it better !!

Can't yet tell exactly which feed caused the problem..  I'll keep playing !!  :D
