is the reg key today Plus? (want to make sure) Also, I never put Resco back on since I have to pay to get the VGA version. been using GSFinder+ which is AWESOME and takes very little space.

Well, I have not paid it yet.  I figure out if you get hard rest, the first thing to do is to insatll resco explorer becuase you got 30 days? trial.  So you can back it up now, then whenever you hard reset you can try install it and get your registry key back....

Thats right... sorry...bad info on my part...   It's all done in the config base path like UK said !!

I was just debugging the skin file (wasn't working for those keeping score at home!) Then I read your post uk. I always wondered what the base path was for!! Just cleaned 1 meg off of the RAM!!!

You guys rock!

Just a remindar, after you change your base path, exit (I meant quit not close it) the configure and rerun it.  You will see all the skin files in your skin folder.

Okay, I found two Registry Programs;
PHM was last updated in 2002 - I am not to sure about that one?

Tascal Reg Edit in August 2004, I think I am going to try that one.

Do you guys know of any other FREEWARE?? Resco is a memory hog and I am going to try to avoid installing it...

I like changing weather icons often, so I have many sets stored...  I saved a lot of RAM by moving to SD !!

Are you having them rotate automaticly (with jumpregion) or changing them yourself every once in a while ??

tascal worked great - however it has no "find"

Zapme1, does PHM have a "Find"??

I installed Resco on the first go around in file store - but I am memory greedy. Also, my version doesn't do VGA, so I can't get more real estate with it on the screen. I tried the brute force method but it was cutting off the top. GSFINDER+ is EXTREMELY good. I recommend this to anyone!

Does it matter what we call the *.reg file? I exported the SRSSOFT directory but named the file something else, just want to make sure it writes it back to the registry as SRSSOFT.

I'm not sure about "find" in PHM...  I'd have to check, and my son has my ppc right now !!

You should be able to give the reg file any name...  I usually use the date, and maybe a keyword of a program I may have installed !!

There are several ways to do it.  At this moment, I use addvar to add 1 to var51 (var10 in original Hammerskin) when the region 2 refresh.  And use if command to switch the weather image folders.  I also tried to rotate with the battery/memory information before.  It all worked.  Add if...codes in the region 3 too, so the icons there can also be rotated.

ZapMe1

Good !!   You didn't say the "Never" word ...
