Quote from: ZapMe1I was getting an error message from the Traffic download, when I ran radar.exe..  Was working fine, then this afternoon, the error started...
I downloaded the updated radar.exe, but now when I run it, All (11) of my downloads get an error !!!  Any Ideas ???

Had the same problem yesterday. Weather.com was not reachable....
About an hour later it worked again.

(Error was a server-timeout from weather.com) No file could be downloaded.

I have (11) total downloads in radar.exe..  When I took my device out of the cradle, I was able to DL all (11) using WiFi !!
This morning, also using WiFi, the first (4) came up "failed", (which are my city.txt), and the remaining (7) downloaded just fine !!

If (7) worked, the server seems ok !, So I'm confused why the others still fail !! :(

Hmm, yes that is really strange, no idea, why it works over WiFi ....

@All,

I don't know if anybody else already gave the following suggestion:

Rotlaus latest version only waits 5 seconds, and then goes to the next textline. Five seconds was too short, several times last days.

Therefore I uses the previous version Uk_skinner put in the first post. This version has NO time limit. Sometimes the download takes very much time, but the download CAME in!!!

Timmy,
I have to agree with you !!  I too switched back to UK's file, and all downloaded without a problem..  Maybe a longer timelimit is the answer !!  :D

Timmy:

I think Rotlaus has addressed this issue on German forum.  If I understand it right, he will try to see he can make it more flexible.  A lot of European users use GPRS for downloading.  It will ocst a lot if the downloading take too long and that was the reason (I believe) he put 5-sec for each one.

Wichtel

Yesterday, I have already mentioned the problem in the German Forum to Rotlaus. Next week he makes a new exe with Config.ini. So we can configure the waiting time manually.

That is good news !!

Due to the fact that we use Radar.exe so much within TP, maybe someday UK & Rotlaus can get together, and combine the "config" files that they are working on, and have one common config that will do it all !!

:!: And some people have the "Nerve" to say that TP is Dead !!  Instead, it is being "Re-Born Weekly", with the Massive talent we have here at the forum !

Actual radar.exe with a XML Config File can be found here and a first beta of a configurator for the radar.txt can be found here.

Bye the way, nice new Mascot.

Rotlaus,

RadarConfigurator.exe is working well and pretty!!! I only found one improvement: 'save' didn't work, but 'save as' worked well.

Radar.xml is working well, too. I have set TimeOut to:
<add key="TimeOut" value="60000"
and all my downloads came in, now.

Thanks for your work!

Save, Copy, Paste, Cut and New are not implemented yet. As is I said, just a first Beta. These features will be implemented in the next version.

Andre
