Last night, I had a problem with my hosting company that was unrelated to this forum.  I wanted to create another forum for some forum MODs I am writing.  The tools they make available to quickly install a forum and build the MySQL database, weren't working.  So I issued a trouble ticket with them.

They were looking into my problem, and while doing so they accidentally erased the entire TodayPlus Forum.  Luckily, I had a database back-up from last night and a site back-up from over the weekend.  They recovered the forum, but forgot to back-up the database from last night.  So as a result, everything posted since about March 19, 2005 is gone for good.

I apologize for the lost data.  Luckily, we weren't to busy this week.  I remember UK posted a teaser on the project he was working on and few other comments in other areas.  Hopefully, everyone can repost anything they can remember.  If you have any question, feel free to ask.

It appears that every post that has an attachment now has three copies of the attachment in each post.  The attachment is in fact only there once, it is just being display three times.  Please don't try and delete them yourself, it has to be a database problem.  I'll try and get to it as soon as I can.

Look what I found!  In MySQL section on my web space, I found a database that I didn't know what it was for.  After inspecting it, I realized it is our old forum data.

All the forum data is back to the way it was before my hoster erased it.

OK, I spoke a little too soon.  :wall:

During the forum restore, we lost a few attachments.  Then we had a few problems posting new attachments.  I synced up the database that stores the attachments and pruned the broken links.  I did do a few attachments and everything seems to be working now.  If you run into any problems, feel free to let me know.
