[WIP] Full Attraction skin *cancelled*

As I mentioned in the OSX complete skin thread, I've been wanting to do a tabbed skin for a while and rgb08's excellent skin was an good "framework" to use as a starting point, rather than starting from scratch. (thanks once again rgb08)

I also intend to do some different things and so far, only the Main tab is near finished, although the others are already at least at 50%.

Aside from this little system panel to the right, this skin will have some other original elements which I'll reveal when the matching page is finished.

Just thought I'd give a heads up and see if people like it or not (I know I do   ... but then again, I'm biased on this one )

You can do no wrong.  This is looking very nice indeed and has captured what I thought was always needed - i.e a good summary main area.   Look forward to seeing what the other original ideas are.

To me, initially it was Lordtwisted's Metal Forever that inspired me to go one step further and then rgb08's tabbed skin...especially since I usually have very little time to dedicate to skinning...

Sheesh... this feels like an "emperor's new clothes" moment.  You guys are talking about all the features, but all I can see is a gif of a mostly-empty Today screen with some tabs at the top.  What am I missing?

btw, here's another mostly-empty todayscreen, now also with some tabs on the bottom.
Out of sheer luck, it displays a new concept for the rss news page which now enables the user direct access to the exact feed he wants, instead of scrolling.

"Horse for courses" I think comes to mind... together a reflection of the confidence I have in Lightman knowing his previous work.  I think encouragement is always nice to give (and receive) even if just to show that someone is heading in the right direction.

Personally I like minimalist on my todayscreen - only pulling up what is required when I require it.  Lightman seems to produce just this.   Clean lines, subtle graphics etc.  

I am sure Lightman will show more once he has the time to develop it more but even with this one screenshot I am sure he is giving others ideas that they too can use.

It was this part that totally threw me - I assumed others could see content I was missing.  Perhaps this isn't so.

Lightman - I'm sure you know I didn't mean to cause any offense.  I love the look of your skin, was just frustrated that I might be missing something.  Love your stuff, as ever.

Weird, but no, I can't see it, or I'm looking for the wrong thing.  I can't see any mention of uptime, SD or anything in the image posted by Lightman... *gets paranoid*

It's an animated gif, so you probably have animations disabled on your browser, or it doesn't support animated gifs.
You're probably seeing only the 1st image of the animated gif in which the plugin is minimized.

oops - sorry I see that I may have been a little harsh on you. sorry.  The first post of this thread cycles through two screen shots, the battery, mem etc are in one of the two captures.  It can be a bit slow so give it a few moments you might see what we are talking about.

Lightman, I too think the mem, bat, sd etc are a massive step forward.  Will they link (button) through to an underlying info screen in your skin?

Heh... I wondered if that might be the case.  My IE is configured not to display animated graphics.  Only when I downloaded the picture and loaded it in my image viewer did I see the second frame.

Lightman - it's gorgeous.  I really get the sense that whilst I might play to my heart's content with the technicalities of TodayPlus, I'm just going to use one of your skins in the long run.
