Complete skin v0.9.8

For those who prefer a simple look, without sacrificing any features, I created the Complete skin.  With a MAX height of 191 and a MIN height of 40, it takes less space than most skins.  I'm using a modified version of LightMan's original Attraction-3D images set.  This skin was originally released in the Brighthand thread, but I have done a major overhaul to bring it up to TPv098.  Enhancements include: slider RSS pages with online/offline links and a Stocks page, Analog Memory meter replaces local time on Big Clock page, both Analog Memory & Battery meters can be tapped to display more detailed information, most full refreshes have been eliminated to speed up the responsiveness of the skin, Tasks & Countdown pages are now included, and the whole Agenda section can be hidden by rotating through Agenda displays (accomplished by tapping the numbered button on top row).

- 9 News feeds including a Stocks feed
- World Timezones (both analog and digital)
- Launcher section with room for 33 applications and 9 games
- QuickLaunch section for 20 applications
- Large digital clock with Battery and Memory displays
- 2 month Calendar display (used to advance Agenda section to any date)
- Agenda, Tasks, and Countdown display

Great job.  The layout, small size (if needed) and buttons all look great.  Between Logika, Complete and Calendar (Blazingwolf), I'm cycling like mad!

what do i do with complete skin v0.9.8 after i have unziped it and got 4 icons 2 txt and 2 folders?

You need to unzip it into the appropriate directories.  Then you should have the following:

config.txt goes into the Program Files\TodayPlus directory on you PPC.

Complete skin.txt goes into the Program Files\TodayPlus\Skins directory on your PPC.

The entire My Icons-3D directory needs to be created in the Program Files\TodayPlus\Images directory on your PPC.

The entire Weather.com directory needs to be created in the Program Files\TodayPlus\Weather Icons directory on your PPC.

Of course, you will be overwriting your existing config.txt file.  You might like to take a copy of the old one, if you have made any modifications.

Thanks for posting this skin that fast. I have been have problems with skin, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the skin the fourth time now because of the following:

1. On any skin with a white background, nothing can be seen. This is a very strange behavior.
2. The skin is very slow to render or update any information when any of the icons is clicked.
3. When you click on the date & month to bring up the calendar, the calendar shows up and them partially disappears.

I do not know if anyone is having this problem.

Can you help.

RJB08: Very nice skin.., like JS, I am switching between skins like crazy!

As usual, quick request: I'd like to see quicklaunch bar at the same location all the time (ergonomically reason). Perhaps locate it right after the top region (date)...

(ergonomically reason: I am using mostly my PPC in my car. It is convenient visually to know where the quicklaunch is right away and not redirect your eye up and down to look for it!)

First, make sure you are running TodyPlus version 0.9.8.  You can download it from the Changelog forum at the top of the TodayPlus index of this site.  Second, you may want to reinstall v0.9.8 even if that is what you are running.  Before uninstalling the version you're currently using make sure to back-up any of the files you want to keep to your PC or storage card (i.e.: skin files, config file, images and weather icons).  Do not back-up your buffer folder or any of the files in the TodayPlus directory itself except the config.txt file.  Now uninstall your current version of TP and delete the TP folder on your PPC.  Reinstall v0.9.8 and restore your backed-up files to the appropriate directories.  Now try using the Complete skin without modifications and see if it runs properly.  It should be at least twice as "fast" as My skin (older skin I created) at switching between pages.  The Calendar page should also not disappear.  If you continue to have problems, let me know.

the clocks i changed in config.txt and it seem to be working in digital mode but as soon as i clic  a on the clocks i get in the analog stile your config " cedar LA Dallas etc.."
i managed to change the format to 24h by changing hh to HH  but i do not understand the config of your clock in complete skin.txt. i can easyly change the name but not the time zone.



an other question on your back grownd
how do you chande the "new" button and the right icon to 2 boxes like yours instead of one long bar?

If you look in the skin file under Timezones>Analog Clocks you will see 5 sets of code similar to this:

This analog clock is displaying the time from timezone "2" (third number in both time commands).  Refer to your config file as to what city timezone "2" is set to.  Then change the name in the text command to that city's name (here I have "Cedar"), or replace it with "[name]".  Do the same with each set of code.

Did you download the newest version of TP from the Changelog to make sure you are really running v0.9.8?  Also, when you uninstalled did you erase the left-over TodayPlus directory before reinstalling?

If it's possible to make the POOM section operate similar to the RSS section, it will take brighter minds than me to figure out how to do it.  You can advance the Agenda section to any date by clicking on that day in the Calendars section (just like in slider).  And my Agenda section is designed to look like tAgenda.
