Hi ya1950,

Merry Christmas! Just downloaded the updated skin and found the agenda really runs faster.  Happen to open the weather subdirectory of the new zip and notice that it was empty.  I just replaced the skin text but wanted to know if the weather data are unnecessary in the updated version.

In addition, there were no weather icons displayed on my machine after taking the new skin .  I think this problem may have been related to weather.com since I read similar reports from other threads.  Will keep weather updated for a few days and see what happen.

I changed the default weather icons to the weather.com set provided with today+. In order to save space on the server I didn't repost them in the zip file. You should have them already if you are using the latest version of today+. Make sure you reinitial the plugin after loading the updated skin. If you are still having problems let me know.

but i have 2 questions about the agenda colume.

1.can i display the date without appointment in the agenda?, and,

2.can i display more rows, say, 8 rows instant of 5, in the agenda?

You could display the date only but why would you want to do this since the date is already displayed in the main section above this? Maybe you want to remove the agenda/tasks/count section completely?

Here is the solution to your second question. Look about half way down the thread. It's about OSX skin which this skin is based on so it will work here as well.

Here's something I'm working on using PPX for the User Interface and launcher with Today+ for everything else. I'm using Broesel's code and icons for the moon phases and the new sunrise/sunset icons that Timmy posted. The PPX skin was made by rockydog.

I suspect that Lordtwisted, Lightman, or rbg08 could do this all using today+ alone but PPX is interesting for graphically impaired persons like me

I checked out the PPX demo today, and it is rather nice.  However, if you're experienced at using TodayPlus, I don't see the need to run both at the same time, considering the extra storage and program memory needed when running both.

I think you can accomplish most of what PPX does in TodayPlus, with the exception of skinning the top and bottom bars (which WisBar Advance can do) and the assiocated menus, etc.  As a quick test I took one of the skins from PPX that I liked and converted it to TodayPlus (a relatively straight forward process, for me at least   ).  It took me about an hour, and its interesting to note that the PPX skin uses ~760 kb, while the TodayPlus skin uses ~40 kb (plus ~60 kb for the WisBar Advance skin), although I think the PPX skin's size could be reduced a lot with some optimizations...  

In any case this is what I ended up with:

That's what I suspected. The nicest thing about PPX is the graphics. No question that Today+ has more functionality and uses less space and memory. But now you've given me an idea - convert the PPX skins to today+. Of course the problem, as you noted, is that we don't have permission to post the skins. Oh well.

i follow the link u gave in the above post.
i CAN increase the row number in the agender, however, it didn't display anything in those increased rows, that is, totally blank in the bottow 2 lines after i increase today+ by 2 lines, how can i display my agenda in this 2 line?

and i really wanna show the date which have no appintment in the agenda colume, so that i can plan my schedule without any calculation. do u have any solution that i can display those "blank" day?

I have seen discussion about PPX in a few local forums but not tried it due to limited resources of my machine.   BTW, your PPX screen with the moon phases being put by the side of sunrise/sunset looks great.  Could you share the skin of it.  Thanks!

Are you sure you followed the directions exactly? You have to change maxheight and height at the beginning of the skin file by adding a multiple of 13 and then change all the lines that rbg08 mentioned in the agenda section by the same amount. I just tried it again and adding 13 to all these places increases my agenda listing by one line. Try it again and if you are still having problems please post the skin and I'll try to help.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do with the agenda section. Are you trying to display the date only and then add appointments as the day goes on? If so the appointments should be added via the built in agenda of your PPC. Today+ allows you to edit appointments that have been set by the PPC agenda software but isn't set up to add new appointments. Maybe I'm not understanding you?

Here is the skin with the moon phases. Just place the skin in the skin subdirectory and the images in the Images\Recombinant subdirectory. All the other files are the same as in the original posting.

Hi ya1950,

Many thanks for your new skin with the moon phases.  I tried it but found the moon icons always show a crescent.  In the moment we should see a first quarter moon.  Just curious if the moon phases as coded in the new skin is varying according to time .
